DARNELL last night had a brush with madness — as he scoffed a tube of toothpaste.
BB counsellors are keeping tabs on the albino housemate’s state of mind after he locked himself in the toilet before going into meltdown.

In a bizarre few hours, the 26-year-old also confessed he made up his “girlfriend” to impress people. And he flew off the handle at Luke and Dale, branding them “a*******s” in a vicious rant.

I've flossed the plot ... dotty Darnell emerges from loo

Darnell flipped after hearing about housemates’ audition tapes.

He told Rachel he felt let down by their fake attitudes and vowed he would “go to bed early every night from now on”. He then vanished into the loo with a tube of Colgate before giggling: “I was real naughty. I ate a whole tube.

“It was a big, tasty tube of toothpaste. That sucked — it wasn’t even enjoyable.”

A puzzled Kat asked: “Why are you being a stupid child?

“How much more attention do you need? I didn’t realise you were so sick. You’re very unusual.”

Darnell’s weird behaviour continued later as he lashed out at fellow contestants.

He raged about Dale: “I can’t live here with someone who has been playing everybody. He’s an a*******. Who the **** do you think you are to say you hate kids . . . then on top of that, say you’ll stab anybody in the back for £100,000?”

Turning on Luke, he fumed: “Then you’ve got this guy here who just follows them round as though they’ve got carrots in their a***. That’s even worse, and then he tries to cover it up with, ‘I don’t swear and don’t drink, so that makes me better than everyone.

“I don’t care if you don’t smoke or you don’t drink, you’re still an a*******. It makes me so angry.”

Darnell then confessed to his whopping fib.

He told an increasingly confused Kat: “I don’t have a girlfriend, I lied. I made it up.”

Earlier in the show, Darnell kept the group up until 4am with stories about his woman on the outside.

But he admitted: “I was upset as none of the girls in the house would talk to me.”

Dar 'n' away ... housemate hides

Shaking her head, Kat said: “I can’t believe we stayed up listening to your *******.” Darnell apologised, saying: “I don’t deserve you as a friend. You’re the bomb, man, and I’m a piece of trash.”

He later launched another unprovoked attack — this time against Sara. He accused her of moaning in the Diary Room about “relatively minor” things that had happened to her.

But the Aussie babe, 27, screamed: “You’ve got it one hundred million per cent wrong. I know what you’re implying but we can’t discuss it in here.”

A sheepish-looking Darnell could only cower under his towel until she relented and walked away.

Last night Big Brother was still monitoring the situation.

A spokesman said: “The health of all contestants is the most important thing. We’re keeping a close eye on him.”

get him out he could be dangerous he cant control his anger at all...

vote darnell out this week, if he doesnt get removed.

He needs to be evicted for his own good I think, He's obviously not coping well unless this is all a game to gain the sympathy vote as he's always thinking about how the public percieve him.

I think the best thing to do is evict him, he's losing it and he'll end up hurting someone as he's shown that he's got a short fuse and some thuggish tendancies. Hell, I read that he postively raged at Kathreya because she wants Rachel to stay.

yeh he has problems with the public and his housemates who like/ dislike him and his anger is getting worse.

and his hang up about dale doesnt seem healthy. he haattes him at the moment

but its not even that coz lik eu sed he got real anger with kat, and carried on for about 40 mins +

I wouldn't go that far as to say he would hurt someone. I don't think he's like that anymore. The sympathy vote theory is conceiveable, although if he just remained his usual self he'd win.

i personally think hes gonna end up hurting someone and ending bb forever.(well it might not get that far). but the race argument nearlly did and there wasnt even any raceisum. and i think darnell need to go before it gets too far. like alex and dennis

You can't remove someone because of what might happen, that's silly. Mikey would be removed because he might 'accidently' poke someones eye out with his stick. He's shown no signs of flipping out hurting someone so there's no reason to remove him.

His reaction to being up for eviction last week was ridiculous for a start... he couldn't believe it could've happened and was really angry with anyone he thought may've nominated him! Er hello???

I think everyone knows by now that this is how Big Brother works, and that you could be up anytime, however many friends you think you have! Stupid baby, spitting out the dummy!! I just can't stand the 'dude'

i agree though, im sure they have staff of security or whatever waiting to go in if somthing does happen... as it could with his current state of mind.

he will only be removed *if* he does somthing.. physical violence..

i agree, darnell is a very emotional person, he should just control his emotions better, he's not mad & he isn't gonna hurt anyone

in the last 3 weeks he hasnt been honest he been bitching about luke dale and staurt loads.

Darnell is a frustrated hoodlum. Having to supress his hoodlum mentality is a huge strain on one so out of balance with reality.

I agree with those who say he is potentialy dangerous. If not voted out he should be removed and trash like him booted out of the country let alone the BB house....

God, not entertaining at all. Darnell is what I call 'uncomfortable viewing' and the house would be better off without him! He's always playing the 'poor me' card and twisting stuff people do or say to be an attack on him - why can't people see that?? I can barely look at him to be honest so it'd be good for me if he was thrown out!

I agree with Banarama, he IS potentially dangerous, he's so highly volatile and paranoid!

I am increasingly uncomfortable watching Darnell melt down. He is struggling with life in the BB House and the producers should be doing more to either support him or to remove him.

His behaviour is not that of someone who is at all rational.
