Default The high\'s and lows of being a BB couples fan.

Ok I have been thinking about this all day after the whole Pete and Nikki thing. So here is what I think are the high's and lows of being a fan of BB couples.

Highs: Seeing it unfold it in the house. The flirting, the first kiss etc. And then when they are a couple just seeing the cuteness of it all and how it goes all the weeks go by. The really cute live feed. Really cute couple moments like things like Pekki () reunion.

Outta the house-The interviews. The adorable photo's.The squeeeeful interviews. The papped pics of them doing normal things. Seeing what you had faith in stay as a relationship. It really is lovely to see it outside after believeing in it for so long during BB. The really exciting things like engagements, weddings and babies. The best part probaly of BB romances. Like knowing you watched something unfold on the tv and see a wedding is just wonderful.Prestelle anyone!

Lows: In the house: When they have fights.I hate that, you are not sure of the future of the couple. When one of them gets evicted. Very bad this year usually they are evicted pretty close together but this year was very long weeks between couple evictions. Even when a couple is cute it can get addictive to watch live feed and it can get exhausting if they are being really cute till like 5 in the morning!

Outta the house-Utimately it is the break-up's. For the hard-core fans it really does affect you. Espically for fans of Helen and Paul. I know some really big fans of them and after 5 years to learn it is over is really tough.I personally have only had Stu and Mich and Pekki. Mich and Stu was bad enough for me cos I loved them for a year and Pekki is bad but not as bad. Still very though. I can't imagine what it was like for H&P fans.

So there my high's and lows... Feel free to say whatever.

I think its always better to have the relationship inside the house becuase then you dont have to worry about the stress on the outside. Thats why Im not very fond of BB couples, becuase it always ends outside.

Yeah I agree Princess.
However, I don't get as attached to BB romances as some and I don't really get 'withdrawal symptoms' if a couple break up.
Even more so this year than in BB5 and BB6.

I tend not to get attached personally because once they get out the house it very rarely lasts and like someone else mentioned in another topic H & P were a strong couple and even they ended up splitting up eventually.

Well, as you can see from my banner, I'm still clutching at straws!

I don't think of H&P being a failure as a couple though. Watching their romance develop was absolutely magical, and unlike anything since, even though Chantelle and Preston had a few similarities, it was over such a short period in comparison that we watched them.

H&P had 5 years, which is longer than lots of marriages, and they are still friends.

You are right though, it's really hard to see them split up, especially when you feel they were made for each other.

Well the only couple of BB I have ever really liked was Michelle and Stuart, and Nikki and Pete I was gutted when they both split. I know everyone loved Preston and Chantelle but I think the reason I didn't really take much interest in there relationship is because I didn't really like those two as housemates well I did at first but I tend to change my mind alot (sorry Prestelle fans) whereas with Stu/Michelle and Nikki and Pete I liked these four housemates so therefore took a interest in there relationship.

I have to say I took the Stu/Michelle split much harder which I think is for the reasons that Princess has stated are the same for me I think the fact there relationship was over a year it came as more of a shock (I can't even imagine how it was for Paul and Helen fans, I understood your feelings though) whereas I feel gutted for Nikki and Pete that they have split as the romantic in me (what there is left of one ) wanted them to have a happy ever after but the fact it hasn't been that long makes me think ahhh well they took a shot and it didn't happen kind of which is sad but that is life I suppose.

I have only ever liked one bb couple and that was michelle and Stu and I was gutted when they split. So I know where you are all coming from.I still like them both though.
I did think helen and paul where cute but didn't follow them when they left the house.
I don't like any of the other couples.

SO bumping this thread!

Lows:Having to defend a BB couple's relationship from cynics all the time.
Being completely skint from buying so newspapers, magazines and so forward.

Prestelle were so bad-books,albums,about a million magazines. I was gutted when they spilt.

Highs: Showing that a relationship is a fake, thus proving that I was right.

I'm one of the cynics. No BB relationships are really real, apart from Helen/Paul and Preston/Chantelle.
