Just when I thought it was not possible for Adele and Alex to go down in my estimation any further.
And what about Tory Boy Tim becoming the Mick McGahey to PJ's Arthur Scargill! This rebellion is great stuff! Still I had a shrewd idea who the wet blankets/cowards would be! |

Yea, but it's going to fizzle out because the money's two important to them, never mind, I know ch4 arent going to get any of my money to help pay them from now on.

I can't agree about Alex and Adele.
In my opinion, they were the only ones thinking logically. If the housemates were really so against living the way they are, and willing to give up the chance of winning, they could do what Sandy did when the bars first went up, and leave by the back door (or escape). Big Brother knows this and if the housemates had gone through with the plan to revolt all Big Brother would have said would be: if you can't live by the rules that we set, we'll get 7 people who can. And that would have been the end of it. |

This is the one time I found my self in agreement with Adele.
A rebellion would achieve nothing and had to be blocked as soon as possible. Oh I feel dirty now..... ![]() |

although a part of me was in agreement with Adele and Alex there was another part that was screaming GO ON !!!that would make great TV (even if it shortens the series to the Adele and Alex show) 5 housemates do a runner by the Sandy method.....how cool is that ?

I agree cyrmu, as much as I love the idea of the rebellion I think if I had been in there last night I would have probably been a bit Adele and Alex like myself.

I was willing them to rebel, and for a moment last night I thought they would - Kate had the padlock half unlocked, but they didn't. It would have made much better TV if they did.
Grrr. I don't think it would have done them any good with the bars at all, but from a viewers point of view it would be funny to watch. ![]() |

If I had been in the house I would definitely have revolted with Jonny, Kate , PJ and Jade.... absolutely...and I am not just saying it ( I have done some rebellious things myself
![]() Having said all that I do think the way that Big Bro' act and after seeing one of the Producers on BBLB positively salavating at the thought that there might be trouble last night only goes to prove that they couodn't care less about what the housemates do and would stick rigidly by their rules and regulations and go even as far as evicting the rebels and getting replacements in without batting a Big Bro' eye. They just don't give a damn about the housemates or the viewers just as long as they are getting their power fix they are satisfied...feeble springs to mind! ![]() |

I'd have been one of the people revolting with you as well Honey. Alex and Adele are pathetic. The pair of them are the, I was only obeying order's, spineless creeps.

I was really hoping for a rebellion! The reason I gave this topic the heading I did was because I believe that if Alex and Adele had agreed to join in it would have happened.
Sometimes when you have to sort problems out at work, for example, you only have the confidence to do something if everyone sticks together. And sometimes, when you are in the minority you have to go along with your mates because you'll need their support next time. Still, some people only pretend to be everyone's mate and carry on behind their backs, don't they? |

Yes they do Oldgit, all the time! In everyday life as well unfortunately. Mostly there aren't loads of people watching though.
I don't think Adele is truly bad, just playing the game. I don't like to see her do it, but I think when you are in the house things must seem very different. Eye of the Tiger and all that! I don't like to see her pretend to be enamoured of Alex though. She coos all over him, he thinks she means it, and her body language is shouting 'get off!' |

I'd have rebelled. I was willing them to do it, and I really wish they had. It was only Alex and Adele who stopped them. I was willing them to climb over the Berlin Wall. Oh well, too much to hope from this shower.

Peachy, my old friend, I never thought of you as a rebel. You've kept that side of your nature very quiet. Good on you, girl.

With only 30 days to go, how could they possibly have replaced the whole house?
No, Alex and Adele were the Uncle Tom and Aunt Thomasina of BB. It was an all-for-one situation and those two let the whole side down. Shame on them both. |

They couldn't have replaced the whole house, no. We know that but the housemates couldn't be sure.
In an exercise in brinkmanship, Big Brother would have had the upperhand because they know that many of the housemates think that appearing on the show is a chance of a lifetime, and they don't want to leave. Also, the housemates are uncertain of the public response to ones who quit or are disqualified. And, of course, any plans that the mutineers make are known to Big Brother in advance. I think that these reasons would have meant one warning to the rebels would be enough to get them back to their respective sides. |

I don't think Adele and Alex are awful for not wanting to - I respect them more for resisting the majority- it shows they don't have to follow a crowd if they don't want to. I don't think the others were wrong either though, and I would definately have been first acrosss those bars, because it IS only a game show, and i think all it would have taken was for one person to be brave and go first, and the other three would have followed.
My rebellious streak would have taken over....! |

I don't understand all the knocking of Alex and Adele for not joining this rebellion. In life you need those that will follow the rules just as much as those who will go out on a limb. They put their point across very well and were accepted by the others.
The rebellion failed, as I knew it would from the outset, because they talked themselves out of it due to the importance of the game to them and the lack of any certainty over what would happen to them. Tim is the one to criticise. He was stirring them all the time but what would he have lost if they had crossed over? He would not get a strike. His only commitment was to leave if everyone else did .. big of him eh? |

Just to add to the thread - I would have crossed the bars!!
![]() ![]() ![]() I would have thought they'd do that in the first few weeks!! I was really wishing they would and I think Adele and Alex made a bit of a big deal out if it, i mean, its only a game! ![]() |

I totally agree with dizzy, if I were Tim I'd have jumped the gate myself, and said go on BB give me a strike, I dare you. The fault is his, what a wimp.

I do not like Tim so I am not supporting him BUT..the whole point of his suggested rebelion was for the Others to join him on the 'rich' side. I would have been pointless for him to Scale the divide and go over to join them.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Only then would the bars have been removed....I think ! ![]() |
