Default Another 3 years of Big Brother

Deal signed for another 3 years of show, BB6 will last 11 weeks and they are considering going somewhere new for the house next year.

Fans of Big Brother will be pleased to know that the ratings-grabbing show has signed with Channel 4 for another three years.

This means that dozens more attention-seekers will have a chance to bid for stardom by taking part in the ultimate fly-on-the-wall TV series.

Makers Endemol UK have signed a deal worth millions of pounds with Channel 4 and are so confident about the show's success that they are extending this summer's series to 11 weeks.

The only change will be the location, as TV bosses are considering moving the Big Brother house from its current home in Elstree, Herts, for next year's series.

"We've been very happy at Elstree but we are always keen to keep the show fresh," an insider told the Daily Star.

Auditions for the sixth Big Brother closed at the weekend, giving the selection panel a few months to choose the final set of housemates before the series starts in May.

I believe the agreement starts after this summer's show. So that means Big Brother 7, 8 and 9.

I just thought I would take the opportunity here to reveal some ground breaking news.

The office of the Cyber Devils Advocate General is withdrawing from Big Brother

It is looking like I may not be on board for this one. Because of a recent change in the management structure at the OCDAG, it is now of the view that the previous examples of mismangement and villification are so well known amongst the populace that the expense of running this office can no longer be justified.

All those who have worked as cyber devil's advocates to former housemates are being offered redundancy packages or transfers to other duties.

I understand I have been reassigned other duties.

This time the housemates are on their own and Endemol has free reign. Officially the housemates should know what they are getting into, and it is no longer the function of this office to bail them out.

A review of other services provided by the Office of the Cyber Devil's Advocate General is also underway to identiify what back office functions can be outsourced to call centres in India.

Be interesting to see what they come up with this year. The even number BBs have been more 'gentle' than the odd numbers but after last year expect the unexpected. As for 11 weeks - does this mean they will have more housemates? If so I hope they may the house larger, because it was bad enough last year spacewise with all of them in.

As for moving the house. I have already suggested near the BB West studios (if they are still there) next to two cemeteries (cant annoy any neighbours then!!!) plenty of empty space available where old buildings pulled down.

3 years?

Good news if they get it right, unlike this year.
