JODIE Foster had her first film role at the age of three, and won two Oscars before she turned thirty.

But now the actress is facing her toughest challenge yet – giving a voice to The Simpsons’ silent star, Maggie.

The Bugsy Malone actress, 45, and Princess Diaries star Anne Hathaway, 25, have been confirmed to appear in The Simpsons in early 2009.

The cartoon comedy series returns to Fox for its landmark twentieth series on September 28th.

Foster will play a grown-up Maggie in an episode in which Simpson characters visit the worlds of Macbeth and Queen Elizabeth I.

While Bart falls head over heels for Hathaway, who voices a good-as-gold little girl, in a separate episode.

Bart is so desperate to impress the girl next door that he even gives up his devious ways and becomes a good Samaritan.
