Default Various Online Newspaper Articles

I've been surfing around and have found several online articles that I thought were intresting:

THE INDEPENDENT on the protrayal of the housemates, especially Jade, and how C4's managament of the show this year is to blame or the backbiting and bitchiness.

THE SCOTSMAN on how C4 and Endemol are trying to fix the evictions by how they represent the housemates on the C4 shows.

THE GUARDIAN on the phenomenal amount of money C4 are making this year.

I would like to add this link along with Lee's. The Independant link doesn't work for me. I don't know if it was intended to be the article of which I have attached a link. Regards. bananarama

Well spotted bananarama, and thank you, it is the article I intended.

I didn't check the links worked properly before saving the thread.

Very good article in the Independant I thought.

I loved this comment:

' Dominic Mohan, who has the misfortune to look like a weasel.'

I wonder how Mr Mohan likes to be treated with this comparitively gentle unkindness? Not that I approve of it, but perhaps a dose of his own medicine is what he needs.

Thanks LEE (welcome back, BTW) and bananarama for the article links.

I hope Jade will be provided with an enormous amount of support when she comes out of the house. It looks like she will need it, poor girl.

As more people are warming to Jade, I am going off her. I liked her in the beginning and defended her more constantly but I have read a few news articles that have lead me to believe that thru growing up, she wasnt a nice girl and was in fact, a bully.
I dont know if this is just hear'say but I dont like what I hear, and although I wouldnt not want her to be ridiculed when she comes out, I am not feeling particulary kind hearted towards her.

Remember what was in the papers about Bubble and the disabled people during BB2 and how it turned out to be completely untrue. A bit like my topic about Alex in the Sunday People, you believe it if you want, but be cynical.

Oh, and here is Elizabeth's version of events:

http://www.sundaymail.co.uk/news/pag...l&siteid=86024

Interesting that Elizabeth responds to Adeles comment of:

" I was just, like, being honest"

with

" I know exactly what she means"

She obviously STILL thinks it's completely acceptable to smile and nod in a patronising manner to someone's face, whilst quietly stabbing in them in the back!

She has found a kindred spirit!

True, but from what I have seen of Jade in the house and the way she treated Sophie, I am more inclined to believe this news article that I was with Bubbles. Maybe Im wrong but I didnt like the way she has treated some ppl in that house and it has led me to believe that she is a bully.

The people who don't smile and nod to peoples' faces are the ones I don't like.

A vast majority of people don't tell everyone how they feel about them, it's called common curtesy. How would you feel if everyone who didn't like you (or any aspect of your behaviour) for any reason felt compelled to come up to you and tell you about all the faults that they felt you had?

Not entirely the same thing, in my opinion.

Appearing to be full of sympathy, kindness and understanding whilst feeling the opposite isn't courtesy, it's duplicitousness.

I am always courteous to people I don't particularly like, but I don't make them think they're my best Bud!

But you aren't being forced to live with them in a confined space for 9 weeks, you can walk away and make sure that you don't see that much of them, the housemates can't do that.

But, the only ones who Adele treated like best buds were Alex and Jade and I think that was a genuine reflection of her feelings.

I think people just like to have a villain that they can dislike and this week it was Adele (helped along by BB's coverage)

Hmm, a moot point Lee. I don't entirely agree. I think you are a particular sort of person whatever the circumstances. It's just the level of certain behaviours that is heightened.

A person is essentially going to have the same tendencies whatever the situation. No matter how much pressure they are under, some people simply don't bitch. They may become quieter, more defensive, or more weepy.

I still think it is interesting that Elizabeth relates to Adele. Adele at least admitted tonight she was playing a game. Elizabeth still wants us to believe she was snowy white, even though she was patently ambitious.

Not a hanging offence I agree, but why pretend?
