OMG! My boyfriend who I love to bits btw just proposed.

He is working away from home just now as he does quite a lot but then said on the phone "When I next see you there is a question I need to ask you.."

And me being a pure and utter idiot says "Haha well as long as it aint 'will you marry me' we will be fine?!"

Silence

Annies heart pounding..

Matt: Well wouldnt u?
Annie: Eh no!

OH DEAR GOD! WHAT HAVE I JUST DONE?!

He just hung up! Now wont even answer the phone to me!

What the hell am i going to do!?

If he loves you and you think its too soon he should love you even more because you dont want to jeopardise your relationship.

You probably could have told him with a bit more tact, but next time you see him in person explain to him your feelings and how you're not ready for marriage yet but want to stay with him etc.

I agree with everyone else. Let him rest on it, it probably was quite embarassing for him and then just let him know how much you love him and how marraige just doesn't seem like the right thing right now.

Little Update:

Matt phoned me this morning apologising for over reacting. He said that he had planned on maybe proposing when we next seen each other as it would have been our anniversary.

I have spoken to him about getting engaged feeling that it would be too early and told him that I still love him more than anything and he understands.

So hopefully we will be in a couple of years but for now we are all fine...

Well you are 16/17. Don't worry Annie just say you aint ready if you aint and If you are then well yeh. Your only 19, you have plenty of time to get married in the future.
