BIG Brother contestants Mario Marconi and Lisa Appleton visited a salon in Ellesmere Port.
The famous duo who appeared and got engaged on this year's Big Brother 9 popped into Terry and Co Hairdressers on Stanney Lane.

Mario, who was the fourth housemate to leave and his partner Lisa, who was the 11th housemate to leave, had their hair and spray tans done.

Mario, from Widnes, and Lisa, from Warrington, entered the Big Brother house as a couple and Mario later proposed to Lisa on live television.

Janice Jones, who owns the family business with her husband Terry, said: "A long standing client of ours, Sharon Buggy, is best friends with Lisa.

"They needed their hair and spray tans doing so Sharon suggested our salon."

Mario and Lisa caused quite a stir for Big Brother fans in the salon.

Terry said: "The staff absolutely loved it.

"They are a lovely couple and were both so grounded and warm."

Janice added: "Mario and Lisa had time to spend with the clients and spoke to children that came in.

"They were really nice and they said they will come back in a few weeks."

The celebrity couple were on their way to Gatwick where they were due to take part in a reality television show for ITV2 called CelebAir.

The programme will see 11 celebrities taking on a range of jobs on the ground and in the air to battle it out to become CelebAir's star employee and win thousands of pounds for the charity of their choice.

They must just be passengers on the plan though, Celeb Air started weeks ago.
