Anyone that'd be classed as goth/scene/emo are MUCH nicer than anyone would be classed as a chav. I've been labelled emo many times, I can see where it came from but I wouldn't personally say that I'm in that category, however, I do tend to get on with those sorta people. I can only think of a handful of 'chavs' that me/my mates get on with. Most of them just go 'eurgh you're weird/emo/gay' |

I'm not remotely goth or emo, that's the thing, but I used to be and I have friends who are both emo and chav, and obviously this is a geenralisation but I've found emos to be nicer. are emos going round stabbing people and getting pregnant at 12? Because i'd certainly say that the majority of the people in Britain doing these things are chavs.

I'm a chav, and what?
It don't affect my social life I have enough friends and get on with so many people from different areas and races. And yes I do see a little chaviness in some people on here? |

I guess, I don't really mind chavs as long as they don't start getting cocky with me. The way they dress doesn't annoy me, just some of the things they do. don't get me wrong, I'm not saying every chav does this but some do.

I hate cliques, but I also hate poseurs so out of every dumb, badly-dressed subculture, chavs would have to be the ones I dislike the least.

I dont like how chavs are painted as bad people that nick stuff and do bad things. I know and have come across many chavs and they are exactly like everyone else, they are actually well mannered, the only thing that they do that makes them look like a chave is the few words they say and what they wear.
Now, around last week I bumped into a "chav" and I said "Oops, Sorry" and they replied "Naa, dont worry about it mate". If this was Hollyoaks and a character did that, the chav would of probably beaten the person up. Also quite a while ago, I saw a 70-80 year old carrying Waitrose bags and she dropped one of them, someone in a hoody and smoking a ciggerette helped her, when he approached her she got really scared, but he helped her and handed her the bag back and she thanked him. Edit- I walked into my lesson chewing gum once and my teacher (who's in his mid 20s) he said "Can you please chew less like a chav?" and then laughed. Since when is chewing gum chavy? I even told him, and he was like "Whatever chav!", he's a funny bloke though. |
