Default Women having babies with friends

I've had a very productive day on my day off and for the first time in ages watched the horror/car crash that is Loose Women. For once, they had a discussion that didn't actually involve mentioning who's had *it* in the past week and whos turn it is for their period.

Anyway, the topic was on women who have babies with their (gay best) friends. Do you agree with people who do that or do you think a baby should be born into a stable relationship?

Thats a tough one. My initial response was that it's better for a child to grow up in a house with a mam and a dad but alot of kids come from a home just like that but it's a troubled home and the kids turn out unhappy and unstable. On the other hand there's kids who's parents are seperated/divorced but are perfectly happy. I think as long as a child has two loving parents that are present in their life, whether living in the same house or not, then it's okay for a woman to have a child with a gay friend.

This was in the metro today
Anyway I dont mind, I think if you are edging close to never being able to have a baby then having it with your friends is ok. Its not fair to say you need to be in a relationship to have a baby when there is such a time limit on having a baby. As long as the kid is brought up right and not distanced from its real father thats fine.

If I wanted children really badly and didnt have a man I would rather have a baby with a friend of mine than a random, women go to sperm banks like all the time to try and get pregnant... why do it with a complete stranger? thats like having a one night stand - when you could have a baby with your best mate. I think its great and there are lots of my friends i would have babies with... channing tatum, usher, chris brown.. all queued up.

If the womans partner cannot have kids, then yes she should be allowed to have a baby with a friend, aslong as the friend accepts that the baby is for the couple (obviously he will want to see his baby, in respect) but, the woman would have to fully trust the person they could easily throw it back in their face.

Also, never go with strangers.

If gay couples can adopt and have two homosexual parents, whats wrong with just the one. Its fine, it should be whoever makes the woman happy...

I really dont have a problem with it personally. Obviously best friends have deep feelings for each other, you have to have to sustain that kind of relationship. I think as long as both parties are happy with the arrangement and both plan to be involved in the childs life and give it the love and protection that is needed who am I to judge.
