I don't think jealousy comes into it, if you don't like what people are doing you generally take a dislike to them.

I never said that mate if you were aiming that at me, not sure you were but nevermind. I don't feel he is a gangster because as you say most of them don't have two braincells between there ears.

I think Science is intelligent but obviously doesn't voice his thoughts properly.

I think they've gone too far. I don't like to see anybody ostracised, whoever it is. Science can be very loud and shouty, no doubt about it, but when people talk to him in a one to one conversation, he does listen and takes on board what they are saying, even if he doesn't agree with them. It's become a bit of a witch hunt, which I think is cruel. People are also twisting things he says (such as Kemal), and I also think people are putting words into his mouth (Kemal accused of telling Derek to 'shut his gay mouth' and Eugene said that it was Craig he said it to. However, when Science asked when he was supposed to have said it and who he was actually supposed to have said it to, none of them could say when it was). Even if they don't want to have anything to do with him, it doesn't cost anything to at least be civil to someone. (Having said that, on the live feed yesterday, Science, Kemal and makosi were all talking in the garden, and seemed to be getting on ok for the bit that I saw. Also Orlaith and Science were having a good talk in the living room during last night's highlights show).

I'd also say that although I don't like Makosi, I do admire her for still talking to Science, against the wishes of the other sheep in there. I don't think she is only doing it because she heard him get cheered by the crowd. Derek and Eugene also got good cheers from the crowd, so she knows that they are popular as well, and it would be a lot easier for her to align herself with them.

Well the majority of them have stopped ignoring him now and if you watched the live feed last night then you would have seen him chatting to Orlaith, Makosi and Kemal a lot and not once did he start ranting and raving. He is learning!

The only person that's now ignoring him is Derek and the way that he keeps going on, looking at people in disgust and dishing out insults to the people that are choosing to speak to Science. Kemal even commented on how pathetic and petty Derek was being when ignoring Science all the time.

I'm pleased to see the rest of the housemates rebel aaginst Derek & resume talking to Science. I agree he was calmer yesterday, & it will do Derek good to see that he is not as in control as he thought. I've noticed that Science listens when the conversation is not petty, or simply bitching - he doesn't like it & walks away. I remember Derek sitting with Science trying to "teach" him communication skills & Science was listening - & admitted he could learn from Derek. In fact, during that conversation - Derek told Science that he felt he could WIN if he changed his communication slightly! Was that the time Derek realised Science was a threat? Science unfortunately is very easy to wind up, he wants to be respected as an equal housemate, & to have his fair share of things, but as soon as he thinks he is not getting either - he kicks off! This has been used against him - ie the cheese & wine incidents with Max, & the mince issue - He will have to learn & as Ruth & Fernzy pointed out =yesterday saw the possibility that he is.

There is one big incident which seems to have been forgotten, Science was warned by BB following a spat with Maxwell over throwing a bin - that whole incident arose because Science DID NOT agree that Derek should be "Water bombed" in his bed by the rest of the group! Derek obviously has a short or selective memory? This was one of the things that impressed me about Science - it would have been easier to be a sheep that night, & bomb Derek to gain popularity, but he chose "fair play" & took the consequences. Put in the same situation even now, I think he would do the same. I wish he'd gone ahead & bobmed him! I agree with Ruth about Makosi too - she has spoke out about Derek genuinely & not just for popularity, - & I think she was most influential in getting the others to start talking to Science again, despite Derek's looks of disgust. Science will learn from his experience, stay or go...we'll see. - I'm half-way through my Ł20 pledge - from another thread

Why do people have to ring so many times?

Surely if he's so liked you shouldn't have to waste your money trying to keep him in.

But there is no point really in voting lots and lots and lots of times..... cast your vote once and see what happens as Tanser said... if the person is liked than the votes will come rolling in to evict the other housemate.... otherwise you're just wasting your money

Because I can, I want to, & I have a choice to use the money I earn as I choose - "waste" is a matter of opinion!

Time is precious too - so are we both guilty of waste by being here, having this debate instead of elsewhere ?? hmmm -
