Default Web Cameras

What do you think of this new generation of 'easy porn', where several young girls have been pasted all over the internet undergoing so called 'private' activitys?

Our web cameras a easy form for pedophiles to 'view' thier 'prey'?
Should there be a legal age for those to buy web cams?
Or is it the latest media frenzy over dramatising a small statitistic in webcam users?
Some universites have infact tryed to stop webcam being used on campus, and should this be more widely introduced?

This isn't directed nasty at anyone before anyone asks

LOL.

An age limit might not be such a bad idea.

Yeah, although it would be hard to inforce the law, and for many it may be unfair. Maybe just teaching children/parents about the risks may stop any bad stuff, but IMO whoever does it must be a screw short of a bolt.

Most people leave it with negative connotations. It isn't only for porn or what ever, it's an easy and modern way to speak to someone else (maybe a family member away on a trip) on the internet for some people.

in theory a age limit would be good idea but then i think i may just end up with parents etc buying them would be a tough one to enforce i think
but then surely the young girls should be taught some self respect so they arent in that situation in the first place
girls want to grow up so quick in recent times regardless of any potenial risks this could involve

Yeah, I agree and I do think its a small minority of people that do it, so, as I use webcam often, I think a ban of anykind on those below a certain age would be unfair and unjust, as educating the 'offenders' is a simple solution to a small, yet bad issue.

You're totally right on that one.. I hardly ever see my relatives in Canada.. maybe once every 3 years at a push, so when we're both on, me and my family all go on cam with them.. and they go on their end! Once my nan and grandad were here and they were like .. watch me wave! and then they'd all wave to each other lol x they were baffled by it!

Webcams are great for talking to people who you've met, and people you havn't! I love talking on cam with people (: - but if one in every 100 mis-use it, then people who dont use cams think everyone mis-uses them!

Last year at christmas time, my friends were like mad on webcamming each other, and one of my friends didn't have one, so I bought her a webcam, and she opened it on Christmas day and her parents were like you will have to give that back, you're not using that! So I have two now lol x - She said she thinks her parents thought she would strip on cam or something, and non of us would even think of doing that! So she was like !

x

If people want to watch and people are willing to have people watch them then theres no problem. IMO its only one step up from prostitution but each to their own.

Theres a hilarious video somewhere on the internet someone sent me ages ago. I won't publicly post the link for obvious reasons but she is in the middle of a webcam show and gets busted by someone who walks in, so she throws her dildo at him

If someone's stupid enough to do that on webcam to someone who they can't trust with it then I'm not bothered

i agree.

and having an age limit would ruin it for the young people who just use it to blog and talk with friends/family via camera.

lol ... BAN web cams for all kids. Crazy! Why is the answer to these probs always seem to be "hey lets get politicians to ban this or that". Talk about a nanny state where the government has to sort even parenting out.... nah....this is a parenting issue... government hasn't got any business in that nor should they.
Yeah and meanwhile the 99.9% of kids who use cams responsibly have to go without ... all because the other 0.1% have crappy parents who haven't taught their kids what self respect is.
The answer isn't always "hey let's create a NEW law to ban this or that out"... people need to take some responsibility instead of having politicians legislate every part of your life for you.

yeah, i don't see how webcams are different to normal cameras in the way that someone [girls mainly in my experience] can take photos/videos of themselves doing things or being naked..
a video went round all the schools in brighton last year of a girl masturbating, that she'd sent to her boyfriend and he'd sent it on, and i'm not saying it was completely her fault, but she was a total idiot to do that

I have a webcam, and I use it to talk and joke around with friends, or to talk to my boyfriend when I really miss him.

I don't think there should be an age limit or anything, it's your business, but I personally think that getting off on cam for someone else is kinda.. disgusting&pointless. Go find a real person :\
That's my opinion anyway, I can see how others would oppose it.
