Diana Vickers will be Rockin' All Over The World if her new fans Status Quo have anything to do with it.

For the veteran rockers last night revealed they are secretly hooked on X Factor and are backing the 17-year-old blonde.

But the one-time hellraisers are NOT so keen for the winner's single to be the Christmas No1 as THEY want that prize with their song It's Christmas Time.

Rick Parfitt, 60, said: "I like X Factor. Simon Cowell's taken people who would normally be in a working club in Manchester and put them on telly. It's incredible.

"But I'm a little bit sad X Factor controls the Christmas No 1. If our song can get anywhere near the top five, I'll be very happy. But if it got to No1 how fantastic would that be?" Asked about the shock departure of Laura White, 20, Quo's Francis Rossi, 59, said: "I thought she and Ruth were good.

"But the one who should win is that little blonde girl, Diana. Louis Walsh said she's got a recordable voice. He didn't say a good voice, but a recordable one. And he was right.

"Just being a good singer isn't going to make you a good performer. There has to be an element of show-off in you.

"That's why the best people aren't always the most talented. Most of us aren't the best musicians in the world."

Quo have sold more than 118million records. And they admit to a heady past of drink and drugs in their early years.

But now the boys are more addicted to a night in front of reality TV.

I agree with him, Vocally Alex is the best singer left, but Diana can sing and has a recordable voice, like he said, being a good singer isn't going to make you a good performe.
