Tom: \'Nicola will tough it out\'
Quote:
Tom: 'Nicola will tough it out' I'M A Celebrity hopeful Nicola McLean is not going to be pushed around as she bids to become Queen of the Jungle.
That's the view of Peterborough United star and the glamour model's fiancé, Tom Williams, as she starts to come up to the most difficult part of the show – the dreaded evictions.
In the coming days, the hit reality show will feature Bush Battles where three celebrities fight it out in a bid to earn immunity from eviction.
But with just under a week in the jungle gone, Tom (28) is confident she can cope after seeing his future wife blossom from a nervous wreck into a feisty camp leader.
He said: "It's going well so far. It'll be interesting in the next couple of days to see how David (Van Day) and Timmy (Mallet) settle in.
"She says what everyone else is thinking. I could she was a bit nervous in the first couple of days.
"But since she did the trial, she has settled down, made some friends and I can see she is enjoying herself."
In the past few days, the Page 3 model has been the voice of the camp, mainly when arguments arose with new contestant David Van Day, who refused to sleep in the cave.
According to Tom, who has been looking after their two-year-old son, Rocky, during Nicola's time in the jungle, it's her natural instinct to protect those around her.
And that's the reason why Tom believes the public should keep supporting her and, if need be, voting for her in any possible eviction fights.
He added: "She says what everyone else is thinking.
"Obviously there are the arguments, but in the bits when they're all having a chat she has a smile on her face, so keep supporting her.
"There's a bit of interest for the guys when she's going in and out of the shower and for woman with the way she has been handling herself against the men in the camp."
n You can catch up with all the I'm A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here! action tonight on ITV1, from 8.55pm to 9.55pm, and tomorrow, from 9pm to 10.30pm.
