Aha, you're not entitled or obligated to be bought Christmas presents. They're gifts, you've done nothing to 'earn' them or anything.

I don't like really unappreciative people on Christmas for this reason

(I don't mean about you not liking a present, that's human nature - I mean the tit-for-tat "she isn't getting me anything so she's getting nothing" and the "it better be what I like").

You should be a bit more grateful, pulling faces is something you do when your alot younger when you don't like a present.
Even if your "mates" don't get you the exact present, it is the thought that counts. And even if your sister didn't give you anything it would be nice for you to give something to her, it just shows that you put more effort in, and that you care and that its not about if you don't get one from her then she doesn't get one back/
