OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
....rude/disrespectful?... you can talk.... your easily one of the most rude, horrible and shallow members on this forum. Why don't you just build yourself a cellar and live in their where no foreigners with their foreign ways can bother you.

To expect everyone to speak English instead of the language they are most comfortable is soooo stupid ( not saying your stupid!!!.. so get your finger off that "report" button ).
Why do you have a problem with it?.. don't you trust these "foreign types"?... do you think they secretly scheming in their own language to GET YOU!? LOL ...

Sorry to everyone else who thinks I'm going in hard here but FFS! What's next on his hit list? ... foreign foods?, people with funny names? Gawd ... how do you people let this rubbish slide?
As a matter of fact, people will funny names annoy me as well *cough* EOGHAN

I don't care if you think I'm rude, horrible or shallow. I know I am, I don't need people to tell me that. And its easier to live in a house than in a cellar, theres more light.

I find it a problem because its quite ignorant (yes you can turn that around back on me). But a lot of people feel very uncomfortable when people do it, you have no idea what they are saying, for all you know they could be calling everyone but because people can't speak that language they can't understand.

I bet a lot of people on here agree with me too, but won't say it because of OTT reactions like that just because its not a politically correct thing to say. Its getting ridiculous, I can't even have an opinion without people moaning at me

I can understand people shouting their conversations loudly annoying you, but I fail to see why the language they're shouting in will affect you?

Just because they can speak English doesn't mean they have to to their friends/family. Your native language will always be your intuitive language, it's obviously easier to speak.
Well basically as I said above- if they are intent on shouting then let people understand what they are saying, or at least have the option to if they want to listen. I find it rude to disrespect a country and its people in that way. However as I said in my original post it doesn't bother me if they do speak in their own language, just not like they've got a mega phone stuck in front of their mouth.

But it's a conversation between themselves, they shouldn't have to cater to nosey people wanting to neb into their conversation

Like I said, I can imagine the shouting part in general annoying someone, but whether they're shouting in English or Swahili it doesn't affect me.

Its not being nosey really, I mean they could be saying anything you don't know, they could be slagging you off and you're blissfully unaware even though you can hear them. I just find it a bit rude, thats all

And to me, shouting seems more tolerable when in English, no idea why

So, what if you were on holiday with your mates and having a laugh with them and speaking in your native tongue, would you think you were being rude? If there were "foreign" people around! I think its far ruder going to a foreign country and expecting them all to speak your language and not even attempting to speak theres, like us Brits do all the time!

Say what you want. No one is trying to censor you, in fact in sounds like your trying to tell us not to disagree with you ie., your trying to censor us.

This has nothing to do with "politically correctness". Your comment was racist and stupid... your always going on about foreigners. When people call you on it you scream " boo hoo! political correctness gone mad... why can't I be allowed to say what I like". Nah rubbish ... you disguise you defence of racism under the guise of attacking political correctness. Now go dry your eyes.
