BRIT JETS IN FOR THE X FACTOR

Pop babe Britney Spears is on a desperate crash diet for an X-rated performance on X Factor.

The sex bomb is said to be taking extreme measures to get super-slim before flying here from Los Angeles for the show this weekend.

It is claimed she wants to shed half a stone to help her sex up her act and outshine skinny Cheryl Cole.

But pals fear the recovering pop wreck is going too far and is making herself ill.

Bounce-back Brit, 26, has already shed around two stone as she shapes up after her public meltdown.

She is now said to want to drop another seven pounds from her current nine stone.

Brit is determined to match up to judges Cheryl, 25, and Dannii Minogue, 37. A source said: “She goes to bed hungry and is dieting so hard she’s suffering from insomnia, anxiety, flushes and shakes.

“Her father and the people around her are trying to get her to eat more, but Britney is determined not to be criticised for having any extra bulk.”

Brit is said to be paranoid about her figure after appearing on stage with Madonna last month, saying clips she saw made her look “beefy”.

The mum-of-two tells Rolling Stone mag: “I feel like an old person. I go to bed at 9.30 and I don’t go out.”
