Meagre rations get to I\'m A Celebrity contestants as their weight plummets
Quote:
Meagre rations get to I'm A Celebrity contestants as their weight plummets After three weeks roughing it in the jungle, living on a diet of rice and beans, it's no surprise to see the I'm A Celebrity contestants are cutting slenderer figures than normal.
During last night's show viewers saw the remaining five contestants share one small ham sandwich between them - which was part of the reward for Joe Swash and Simon Webbe managing to amble across a tightrope together, suspended high over the jungle.
The celebrities were furious at the tiny portion, having selected it over two Bush meals in the hope it would be a super-sized sandwich.
Having survived on such meagre portions it is no wonder the remaining players, including the recently-departed Nicola McLean, appear to have dropped several pounds during their time in the Australian bush.
When WAG Nicola left the show on Tuesday night's episode, her surgically-enhanced breasts looked even larger than usual against her skinnier legs, arms and face.
The night before, Brian Paddick admitted he had lost a stone in weight during his 17 days in the jungle.
In particular, Joe Swash's cheekbones have been a lot more noticeable in recent days after he admitted his appetite for the same old dinner was waning.
His healthy cheeks has gradually become sallow as the lack of food gets to him.
Former Star Trek actor George Takei is also sporting a thinner face.
The 71-year-old's has lost the roundness and instead looks drawn, particularly around his eyes.
While it may be tough going, the lack of food and increased physical exercise the contestants have to endure provides the perfect recipe for a quick-fix crash diet.
But it's no wonder the celebrities have shed the weight.
Last night viewers saw Joe and Simon sweat blood as they took to the tightrope.
However, despite completing the challenge successfully, their only reward was the ham sandwich to share between the entire group, and a handful of marshmallows.
On seeing the sandwich, Joe blasted: ‘It’s absolute b*****s,’ before storming off to bed.
It comes as no surprise that the former EastEnders actor is looking forward to getting home for a tasty Sunday roast, which his mother Kiffy has promised him.
Last year's winner Christopher Biggins, who was 18 stone when he entered the jungle, lost two stone during his time Down Under.
