chav isnt used to insult people because chavs call thereselves chavs or neds.

True, and that is what I am getting at, but it can be used as an insult also. Not amogst Chav's, mind you, but amongst non-Chavs, as in ''those bl***y Chavs on the street corners...''
yeah.
but thats what i dont understand either people hang around the streets but they aint all chavs!
