actually you are wrong....BBAussie 2008 had a task where the HMs became papparazzi for a week, photographing celeb look-alikes (world wide celebs like Jonny Depp, etc). It all culminated with the REAL Pamela Anderson coming in at the end of the week, and she stayed with the HMs for a few days.

Im not faulting BBUK for taking ideas from other countries, afterall there are only so many things you can do over 9 years...plus everyone usually steals from UK so its all good.
