Default tonights task

Ex-housemates to determine tonight's live task

A race involving former Big Brother housemates will determine the outcome of tonight's live task.

The first part of tonight's task will involve a blindfold obstacle course in the garden.

The housemates will have to retrieve eggs from one end of the course to the other.

They will receive £25 towards their shopping budget for each egg, and will have 8 minutes to complete the task.

But Alex, Jade, Jonny and Kate will then have to gamble their budget on the outcome of an egg and spoon race involving ex-housemates Sophie, Lee, Spencer and PJ.

The housemates must bet on who they think will win.

The race will then be played into the house on the plasma screen.

The result will determine how much the group get to spend on their final week's shopping.

Fans can watch the eighth live task on Channel 4 from 10pm tonight.

I think it was a great task, I'll never forgive Alex for weeks 1-8, but at least he looked happy and seemed to be joining in, it did bring them together.

After Jonny's first circuit of the assault course, they all found ways of "feeling" their way round and doing it faster, so they got a good result there.

They used a certain amount of intuition, that the boys would be too competitive and push each other, and Sophie would probably win. They were wrong in a sense, but in another they were right, as Spencer and PJ were too competitive, and lost their eggs in the desperate dip for the line, leaving Sophie to walk home as the only finisher, after Lee lost his egg early on.

As the housemates congratulated each other, Jonny and Alex's handshake seemed really warm. Nice to see.

Oh well, loadsamoney, boozy high jinks, tailor made for Jonny and Kate to shine in the last few days...
