Default Rank the BB series

Just main series;

1. Big Brother 5 (great housemates, great twists, great winner)
2. Big Brother 9 (fantastic series but worst winner ever.)
3. Big Brother 3 (Best of the "old school" series, and it had Jade and Alison.)
4. Big Brother 6 (Decent housemates, bit OTT but some fantastic twists and missions)
5. Big Brother 7 (At the time it was brilliant but on reflection it had really boring housemates and a very undeserving winner.)
6. Big Brother 2 (This series just seemed to fit here, great series but wouldn't survive it was to air today.)
7. Big Brother 1 (Great housemates, but boring in parts.)
8. Big Brother 8 (Only had 2 housemates worth watching, would be lower but Brian was the best winner ever/)
9. Big Brother 4 (Well...lets be honest, it was crap.)

I only rate the series I watched so here they are:

1. Big Brother 5: Absolutely perfect with everything to make a memorable series.
2. Big Brother 6: Great bunch of housemates who made an exciting show and great drama.
3. Big Brother 9: Even if the winner is terrible, the rest was awesome.
4. Big Brother 8: Not the best series by far but still enjoyable. I call it the 'Nice series'
5. Big Brother 3: A bit too crazy at times but very funny with lovely characters.
6. Big Brother 4: Too dull, too nice, too boring.
7. Big Brother 7: Worst.Big Brother.Ever. I can't describe how much I hate this series, it was dreadful.

BB6 - Perfect cast, the twists were subtle but executed perfectly, each housemate played a part. Best house we've seen.
BB3 - The best series prior to BB's eveil streak, gave me Jade, and supplied goos storys without BB's influence.
BB5 - A good theme, great housemate dynamics but was tainted by Nadia being the chosen one.
BB7 - Had a fantastic start, and a good original cast, but the late comers soured it and went seriously downhill after Nikki's eviction.
BB9 - Again, started well with the most diverse cast since BB6, but lack luster twists, a horrific finale and bad evictions choices ultimately worsened it.
BB2 - It was nice, but predictable and dull at times. A good predecessor to BB1, and had a deserving winner and a equally as good runner-up
BB8 - Terrible launch twist but did have some decent housemates. Unfortunately BB reached it's most corrupted this series though.
BB1 - It was a perfect launch but nothing spectacular with a lot of duds.
BB4 - It was - nice. thats all there is to say. Could've been better had the early evictions of Anouska and Federico not occured.

1.. BB5, it was just perfect
2.. BB6, a perfect series apart from a few boring housemates and a bad winner
3.. BB9. Started off great, if it had of been 10 weeks long it would have been the best series but it went on too long had a few pointless housemates but overall it was a good quality series. Also HOH and the divide wasn't used to the full potential.
4.. BB8, I liked it. We had some pointless housemates and some failed twists but it was different and a little break from the kinda series we had been getting
5.. BB7, at the time it was amazing but looking back it had many flaws and for me is the major reason why BB8 failed because they used up nearly every twist idea. It made the new era of Big Brother old and again boring housemates spoiled it.
6.. BB3, A big step up from previous series and provided some pure entertainment with a great mix of housemates. But because I can't remember loads about it I have put it lower than I would have liked
7.. BB2, Good for the time, had some characters but nowhere near as good as recent series
8.. BB1, Good for the time but lookin back not so good
9.. BB4, it was just crap.

BB3- It had everything
BB6- Another amazing series
BB5- Also very good
BB9- Major improvement on the recent attempts, it dragged out a little bit towards the end
BB7- The first half was really good, the second half not so good
BB8- I don't think it was that good, but half as bad as most people make out
BB4- Boring, but I'm happy it was because we wouldn't have ever got evil BB!

I didn't watch BB1 or BB2.

BB6 - my favourite by far as it took the evil theme from BB5 and developed it into something new and unique to the series.
BB2 - never thought it would be beaten until BB6. Just perfect, and again nicely developed from the previous series.
BB3 - loved the Rich Poor divide, just think it should have been done a bit longer. A well produced series too.
BB9 - the best of recent years and it felt more like the old days than BB5 Mk IV. Well cast - it's just the public evicted the wrong people.
BB7 - the first few weeks are forgettable, but it really picked up gear and still lays claim to the best ever task - the Prison. Also the Golden Ticket was a simple idea excellently executed, while the House Next Door was a natural development of the bedsit and secret garden.
BB1 - always difficult to rank this series because at the time it was amazing.
BB5 - the format and twists were great, but I couldn't stand half the housemates. Lip Gloss Bitches - I'm talking about you!
BB4 - not as bad as people think, and neatly produced too. The big mistake was not evicting Jon Tickle in week one, and since then we've seen time and time again how the show suffers when one character dominates it.
BB8 - a similar issue with Charley dominating it - it became much better when she left, but Carole prevented it ever kicking into life. A poor series from start to finish really though.
BB5 - Groundbreaking series. Changed the way the show works today with second houses, major twists and controversial housemates.
BB6 - About 2cm away from the top spot, it was a fresh series but BB5 just beats it because I enjoyed some of the tasks/twists more.
BB8 - Underated. I didn't see many problems apart from the OTT daily twists. Some strong characters and good ideas (drowned out by the bad ones though)
BB3 - Probably should be higher, but I watched it after it aired, so I was more used to the BB5 onwards format. Entertaining housemates though, and the divide worked better with the housemates than in BB9.
BB9 - Wasn't a bad series, the housemate choices were almost perfect, but the series just lacked something. However it was simple and easy to follow.
BB4 - Underated. Bad housemate choices, but if you look beyond that, there were quite a few original new ideas and good tasks/twists. Although, since housemates are the most importand aspect of a series, I couldn't put it any higher.
BB7 - Annoying housemates. Confusing twists. Boring tasks. I'll give it some credit thoug. There were a few good momments and a few of the many twists were entertaining too.

1. Big Brother 9: Great twists, but not to many. Best housemates for years. Brilliant eviction order.
2. Big Brother 5: Same as BB9. Great twists, brilliant housemates, great winner, but I would've like to see more of Marco and Emma and less of Michelle and Stuart.
3. Big Brother 3: This is really the only series where the majority of the HM's had great fun and everything. All of it was just so funny. Downpoints: Alex and Adele, Alison being evicted so early
4. Big Brother 2: Brian and Helen made this series. They were just so brilliant. Wanted to see more of Narinder.
5. Big Brother 1: Just all so innocent and it was all so simple.
6. Big Brother 7: Great when it was on, but just went downhill towards the end and wasn't as good looking back on it.
7. Big Brother 6: I don't see the big fuss over this series. I didn't really like it. Science was great though.
8. Big Brother 4: Absolutely terrible. Brilliantly boring.
9. Big Brother 8: Probably a tiny bit better than BB4, but at least we didn't have to endure 13 weeks of BB4.

BB6 - Very entertaining, brilliant tasks and unforgettable hms
BB7 - Great hms, good tasks but spoiled by Saint Pete
BB9 - The first half was brilliant but terrible eviction decisions, poor tasks and a dull winner ruined what potentially could have been the best BB
BB3 - Very good series, many memorable moments
BB2 - Gave us Brian Dowling and the first BB love story of Paul and Helen
BB5 - Didn't see much of it but looked like a good series
BB8 - Terrible twists from start to finish, Loads of deadwood hms, losing Emily, Lesley,Shabnam, Seany and Billi in the first 4 weeks killed the show. We also had Chiggy forced down our necks.
BB1 - Didn't see it
BB4 - Losing Anouska, Fed and Jon early killed it

1. Big Brother 9- Perfect eviction order, perfect housemates. For me there was only one thing wrong with it, and that was that Mo was evicted before the finale.
2. Big Brother 5
3. Big Brother 6
4. Big Brother 3
5. Big Brother 7
6. Big Brother 8
