However, assuming this is for real, and I note that it is Sky News report, this is the same tired argument for so called Megan laws, giving parents the right to know if peadaphiles are living in their area.

If you give them that information then there is the risk of vigilante action, and let's not forget that lady in Wales who was driven from her home for being listed as a peadiatrician. If this information is given out, then the peadaphiles will just go into hiding and the police will not know where they are.

A Megan's law will be counter productive

As for the libraries, they most likely are duty bound by law to keep a copy of all books published, so let's not go after them shall we.

All this report did, was give the guy publicity for his book and his ideas, but then the fourth estate was never really into considering such things if it got in the way of a saltious story
