So the rumours are true. Following weeks of speculation, claims and counter-claims, Michelle Bass and her Chicken Stu have announced their break-up.

Since getting together 12 months ago in the Big Brother 5 house, the pair have been inseparable. Stu even delayed his studies at Leeds University for a year to spend more time with Dinnington lass Bassy at her new home in swish St Albans.

Although the pair were spotted at several celebrity bashes, they also enjoyed hanging out in the trendy bars in Newcastle when former Gosforth High pupil Michelle was visiting family.

Only last month Michelle spoke of her true love for Macclesfield-born Stu in an exclusive interview with the Chronicle.

She said: "We're very, very happy. A lot of people said we would never last, but here we are.

"No, we've got no wedding plans, yet. We're both very young and Stuart needs to finish university."

And she reckoned that her man, at 21 three years her junior, adored her boob job, which saw her assets boosted to a DD cup.

But now it seems that life in the public eye became too much for the once lovey-dovey couple.

Sources claim that Stu is unhappy with Michelle's new career as the face of adult channel Television X and has become increasingly uncomfortable with her moves into the porn industry. Michelle has made no secret of the fact that she would like to do more glamour modelling and use it as a stepping stone into music.

When Angel Eyes contacted Michelle, she sounded exhausted. "I'm fine," she sighed, sounding anything but.

When asked about the split, Michelle politely replied that she wasn't allowed to comment because of an exclusive deal with a glossy magazine.

"My agent has said I'm not allowed to say anything," she said.

In the meantime, we'd welcome your suggestions for who might be Michelle's new man. The smart money's on BB6 contestant and fellow Geordie Anthony Hutton.

Hold on to your hat, Ant! We reckon Wor Bassy will be ready to pounce when he finally gets out the house.

I don't think we have seen the end of them as a couple and I really hope we haven't these two are in love and they will find their way back, thing is we shouldn't believe everything we read.

I don't believe everything I read in the papers, which is why I didn't believe it when they said that they were working things out.

Seriously, it's a shame, but I'm sure they'll both be okay.

Michelle was probably exhausted because she had been out with Emma till the early hours that morning!!!!

Good luck to them both, IMO they made a fab couple and seemed to really compliment each other . We will never know the in's and out's of what went wrong but maybe an exlcusive in OK will fill in some blanks.

same here i hope they can find there way back they are the best celeb couple since like forever i think
