Here's Elizabeth's view on Week 9 of BB3, taken from Sunday's Daily Mail:
NOW TIM HAS GONE WILL ALEX FIND FUN? Jul 21 2002 ELIZABETH'S VERDICT: WEEK 9 I THINK it's sweet that Tim is a mummy's boy. He even went straight for her supportive embrace and bypassed the old girlfriend on Friday. One and a half million viewers voted for him to be evicted. But it's hardly surprising he was out by such a massive majority. The only time this week I saw a flicker of a smile from him was when he discovered he had been nominated. When he was in the diary room, spouting off about discrimination, I was shouting at the TV: "Shut up, for your own sake" . Big Brother is Big Brother and you know what you are going into. You sign the contract and they call the shots. Now Tim's out, can the fun-loving Alex step forward? Please, you've only one week left. Even Kate's been trying her hardest with him in building bridges with kind words, giving him valid reasons to stay and the psychotherapist worked a treat too. Selective editing has raised its ugly head again because they need story lines and a fall guy. Jade has taken the battering for most of the series but, for the past few weeks, she has been played down and they have zoomed in on Tim's idiosyncrasies. Jade's mental state is a concern. I have seen her blow off so many times that this week's row wasn't surprising. But I feel for Jade. If she cries for a day because of a few things drunken Alex has uttered, what's she going to be like when she comes out and reads that millions have been calling her thick and ugly? A lot of people have said they would like Jade to win, because she is the one who could most do with the cash. Apparently, Alex's modelling agent has already secured a £1million deal. Can a girl win, or are most of the voters screaming teenage girls who love the good-looking but sometimes angst-ridden Alex? Or will it be Jonny the fire-fighting joker with a tendency for depression? Now I'm being shown less of Jade, I don't mind her either but, at the moment, I don't see a clear, obvious winner.
