Jade 'feeling a lot brighter'

Terminally-ill reality television star Jade Goody is feeling a "lot brighter" after being admitted to a hospice, her publicist Max Clifford has said.

The 27-year-old newlywed spent much of Saturday planning the christening of her two sons and herself while being cared for at St Clare Hospice, in Hastingwood, near Harlow, Essex, he said.

Goody was taken to the hospice on Friday after hallucinating the previous night.
"I've spoken to her - she had a good night and she is a lot brighter," said Mr Clifford.

The Big Brother celebrity, who married Jack Tweed, 21, last Sunday, occupied much of her time organising the christening of herself and her boys, Bobby, five, and Freddie, four. Mr Clifford said it would take place next Saturday at a church close to Goody's home in Upshire, Essex.

"She is looking forward to the christening," he said. "She is planning it with her friends and family."

Mr Clifford said Goody was "extremely grateful" for the support she had received from the hospice and the general public, but he added it was "a shame that her next door neighbour was so different".

The cancer-stricken star became embroiled in a row with the male neighbour as she left her home. It is understood the dispute surrounded the presence of media outside her property and access via a shared gate.

"She is extremely grateful for everything that she is getting at the hospice and also the wonderful support that she is getting from all over the country," said Mr Clifford.

"She is so appreciative. It's so lovely that there's so much support from so many people. It's just a shame that her next door neighbour is so different."
