Well all his writing has a very dark side to it as in very nasty/evil people. Don't forget these are supposed to be childrens stories.
He lost a child - a daughter - and since that time all his work has been a bit on the dark side. It can be seen as very deep |

See my thoughts on him is that he really doesn't like children - the BfG was a child catcher etc - you don't have to be a big reader (but I am) watch the films and look in a different light - most are anti kids then he brings it round to a happy ending |
