I was sent to the paper shop to get the Mirror this morning (apparently it was 'my turn', although seeing as I always get up out of bed I think my family are using me!!)

Anyhow, there was a paper in my shop, I'm not sure whether its national or geordie-regional, but it had this headline, that Alex had gone up to Kate at the after show, and shouted at her, saying she shouln't have won, and that Spencer jumped in to defend her, and him and Alex had to be taken away from each other.

I couldn't really stop and read it in the middle of a shop, as thats rude when I'm not going to buy, but I was wondering if anyone else heard anything?
I just find the idea of Alex in particular in a punch up hysterical, after seeing his runs to the diary room!

Ok, I found the article, and heres the relevantbit......(it now sounds more like gross exaggeration, having read the whole thing)

BIG Brother housemates Alex and Spencer had to be dragged apart after brawling over winner Kate at the after-show party.

Security men moved in to separate them after Alex Sibley, 23, launched a stinging attack on the blonde IT girl. The moaning model was furious that she had scooped the £70,000 prize he believed was his and began screaming abuse at her, reducing her to tears.

But within seconds Spencer Smith, also 23 - Kate's constant companion before he was evicted in week 4 - leapt to her defence

An onlooker said: "Alex was shouting at Kate, saying she was the two-faced one, not Jade.

"Kate was shocked and quite frankly too drunk to defend herself.

"Spencer came running over and told him to back off. Alex had his

face right up to Kate's so Spencer pushed him away." Producers warned Alex to cool off before he rejoined the party and to keep his distance from Spencer and Kate.

An onlooker said: "It took Kate a long time to compose herself. She was obviously very shaken by the whole experience. Spencer was being very protective of her and remained at her side for the rest of the evening. They had a very close relationship on screen and certainly looked the part off it."

The source added: "Alex was gutted to have missed out on the £70,000 prize.

"The shock of being beaten was hard enough but seeing Kate scoop the prize knocked him for six.

"He had only just learned that she had nominated him for eviction throughout most of the show and he felt betrayed."

A TV insider said: "Alex felt he had become very close to Kate. I suspect one of his worst times was realising Kate's loyalties lay elsewhere - mostly with Jonny."

Hmmmm ............................ I'm not sure I believe a word of this, Glitterbabe.

My hatred of the tabloids is well documented. As you're probably aware, we were 'treated' to some pretty spectacular 'exclusive' blatant lies after last year's BB - the most memorable being the Sun's 'Don't Treat Me Like a Tart' headline. Complete and utter codswallop which was later exposed as completely untrue by Helen herself. And I immediately distrust ANY story which refers to information received from an 'insider', an 'onlooker' or a 'friend'. Read 'junior reporter making up stories' for all of these.

So, being a year older and wiser, I really don't put much faith in anything I read in these rags now.

As I've said in another thread ............... take it with a pinch of salt!

No, I don't think it's true, but I do think it would be funny to watch Alex in a fight.

It never ceases to amaze me how many 'insiders' and 'onlookers' they seem to have....

I never believe the tabloids! They have a good way of forgeting the truth and adding their own version I hope on tonights BBLB we find out the truth about a lot of the stories in todays papers

I can not vouch for this newspaper, but it not one of the more popular ones.

I suspect this may be correct.

Expect a lot more hated to be piled onto Kate for daring to beat Alex or Jade (possible Jonny)

I hardly think this 'story' is aimed at piling hatred on Kate, Sticks. If anything it's trying to show Alex in a bad light.

If it's correct, and I don't think for a milisecond that it is, then I would have expected the incident to have been reported in more of the papers. I have absolutely no faith in the truthfulness of this 'onlooker'.

I suspect that a lot of this is made up and exaggerated. I also read the following in the tabloids today:

News of the World - has Jade laying into Kate saying that she never trusted her and has flirted her way to winning. I know Jade would probably say that, but certainly not to the press!

Sunday Mirror - has Joanne (Jonny's fiance) saying how upset she is because Jonny held Kate's hand all the way through a press conference and in his interview with Davina said "What wedding?" when it was mentioned.

Lots of stirring going on - just like inside the house in fact!

More likely that these stories appeared because Kate sold her story to a rival tabloid newspaper.

As far as the tabloid press is concerned, they never let the facts get in the way of a good story.

Looks like the tabloids are at it again. What will be hearing next. Perhaps there will be a Spencer/Kate/Alex/Adele face off, after all Kate and Alex did get pretty close after the others had gone and Spencer has said he wants to see Kate and the same for Adele as far as Alex is concerned. Not forgetting Jade has said that she likes Spencer so perhaps she could join in as well.

If the standard of journalism we had last year kicks in then we are due for a few weeks of utter drivel and lies being quoted from 'insiders' and 'friends' who are only out to make money.

Wait for the stories about 'my hot night with ............ ex BB3 star'.

What Jade said about Kate is clearly compiled from things she said in the house. I've heard them all before at various times. I doubt whether Jade said a word to the NOTW.

I don't think that Jonny's fiancée needs to be jealous of Kate. But his sisters do!

I'm not sure about that, Oldgit ............ she certainly posed for pictures for them...............



........... so I think she must have also given them an interview of sorts, otherwise I'm not sure how they would have known about her early family life. But I do agree that a lot of it is probably added on from things she said in the house.

Trust no-one, especially the tabloids!!!
