I did a bit of maths this evening, based on the figures in Heat, to calculate the true percentage of votes each contestant got. By "true" I mean compensating for the fact that more votes were cast after first Jade, then Alex, got the boot last Friday. At the point where Jade left, she had 20% of all votes cast. The figures given for Alex, Jonny and Kate were percentages after eliminated contestants votes were taken out. I hit upon a fair method which estimates the percentage the contestants would have got if the voting for all four had stopped at the same time. The figures I calculated were:
Jade 20% (that was easy) Alex 21.9% Jonny 24.4% Kate 33.7% If anyone wants an explanation of how I come to those figures, please ask, but it may be considered boring. Finally the figures also indicate that: 7022110 votes took place before Jade's eviction, and a further 1014099 votes took place before Alex left, and after that another 530118 votes were cast to decide between Jonny and Kate. Due to the inaccuracy of the figures I worked with, these figures could be out by a thousand or so either way. Don't bother to make the following posting: Quote:
