Leona Lewis has apparently been injured by her horse while out riding in Los Angeles.

The former X Factor winner was given a stallion for her birthday, but the Daily Mirror reports she was headbutted by her steed, knocking her to the floor and leaving her with a split lip.

A source said: "Leona has been riding since she was a child and has never had a fear of horses, so she was really shaken up when the horse turned on her."

The insider continued: "Something startled the horse and it flicked its head back and smacked Leona full in the face.

"She was knocked flying by the force of it. Everyone rushed over to see if she was okay, she was holding her face in agony.

"Thankfully she didn't need any surgery, but she was told to stay at home and rest just in case she passed out with concussion.

"She doesn't blame the horse though - it was just one of those things."

But Leona reportedly had to postpone work on her new album.

The source said: "She had been due in the studio to record, but she felt shaken up so they had to cancel. It has pushed everything back, but she's such a grafter she'll easily make up for lost time."

Apparently, Leona's tour is currently being planned and will be named 'An Evening with Leona Lewis' and they are close to signing with the Molson Ampitheatre for a mini-residency of a week at the theatre to kick of the tour (Toronto, ON)

I love Forgive Me,but i really hope Leona doesnt try and move to uptempo's(unless they demand huge vocals or she writes them herself).We've got Beyonce,Britney,Rihanna,Lady GaGa(and probably Alexandra soon) to provide club bangers, we dont need anymore.so i think Leona should just stick to the big emotional ballads because no one else in the industry right now can do them like her

i totally agree, You have written what i have been thinking for ageeees. I would like nice soft Ballads, with huge vocals. Maybe a few up tempo stuff, but more ballads! She needs to get this album spot on!

Leona Lewis has been forced to leave her new Ł4 million mansion after apparently encountering a mad fan.

The Mirror reports that the Bleeding Love singer is now back in Britain while security at her Hollywood Hills home is improved.

A source told the newspaper: “Leona had just gone to the shops to pick up ssome bits and pieces and was followed all the way back home by this man. She was completely unsettled by this…

“When she looked out the window later the man was still there, staring right at her. It freaked Leona out big time. She feared she was being stalked.”

LL has been working on her second album in the States recently with One Republic man Ryan Tedder

Saw her live at Summertime Ball last night!
She sang Bleeding Love, Better In Time, Forgive Me and Run.
She was actually really good, I did get bored half way through BIT, and Run though.

I video'd about a minute or so of Forgive Me for my friend so I'll upload it and show y'all later.

Nope.
There just wasn't really a way to fault her performances without being unnecessary. The only criticism I have is that I got bored during some of the songs which is down to material rather than her.
