I've read before that the live feed only brought in a few thousand viewers so why should Channel 4/Endemol waste its money on it, when it can instead spend it on something that might improve the show and bring in more viewers?

Livefeed brings in 150,000 regulaly. Up to 1mil in the first couple of weeks.

And it's not there for people who watch it 24/7, it's there for people to dip in and out whenever they want to to see what's going on. Everything you see on the highlights is what the livefeed shows so I don't understand the reasoning by some people here saying "it's crap lol".

Still upto 1 million in a couple of weeks when its usually on E4 for most of that day, that isn't good.

All i said is that I wasn't bother that it was being cut back, i didn't say it was crap, every person I've spoken to about Big brother live is that its a nuisance its on the channel all the time. why couldn't they put it on a red button service like they do during the rare occurance they show something else on, I'm a massive big brother fan but even i find it annoying e4 turns into big brother over the summer.

And people aren't saying that the content on the live feed is crap, they are saying the actually live feed service is with constantly the noise being cut out.

I agree with you, I don't know why they can't just keep the red button active in the corner of E4 or C4 for the duration it is on so it's there for people to switch on if they have to - perhaps even have an interactive screen with text ins and quizzes to attract the younger audience. The bird noises are cut out when HMs talk about something personal (family for instance) or when something could be deemed libellous - there are ways to cut this down too, for example cutting the camera to a different section of the house onto different housemates, but none of this is done. C4 are treating the viewers with nothing but contempt - don't be surprised if next year they move onto the highlight shows that you all here watch and begin to cut and prod to there hearts content with that, too.

Its (the LF) not something you could watch for any length of time without nodding off - as 90% of the time even during the day they are just lounging around and talking bout any old crap to stave off the boredom.

Even though I never watched the live feed (boring!), I appreciated that it existed because I felt like it stopped the editors from being too manipulative. Although they censored a lot of it. If it weren't for the constant sound-outages and shots of the empty garden it could possibly have been entertaining.
