I'm going to be really honest here ..... I'd have thought this was very basic knowledge and am pretty shocked that there are quite a few on here that genuinely have no idea of the whats/whys of such basic things.

Now...before you all go jumping down my throat...that's not necessarily slagging any of you off......it goes back to what I said many months ago about the standards of what gets taught these days possibly.

Isn't this pretty basic stuff?

Really..I'd have thought biology - you know, one of the sciences, might just have covered something along the lines of the Human Body./??? Just a thought.......
