Will Makosi Go Makosher? [News Story]

Will Makosi Go Makosher?
With Big Brother over for another year, there’s now a gaping hole in the TV schedule and little left to talk about.
No more ‘did they, didn’t they’ conversations, no more hiding behind cushions in cringing embarrassment, and no more debates over whether Leeds rapper Science is really Jewish.
But top showbiz manager Jonathan Shalit doesn’t have to go through any of this trauma as he gets to keep a Big Brother contestant all to himself. Before the finale fireworks had finally fizzled out, the West London Synagogue member, had signed one of this years biggest reality stars Makosi Musambasi.
As the man who launched Charlotte Church’s career, and agent to stars such as Javine and Jamelia, why did Shalit take such an interest in Makosi? “I was intrigued by her,” said the 42-year-old.
“Makosi differs from her other housemates in that she’s a serious, committed, working professional and to be able to succeed at her profession there was no way that she could be how she was on Big Brother. I thought there must be more to her than what was being portrayed on TV.”
The 24-year-old housemate had one of the most shocking evictions in the history of the show as she was continually booed and heckled during her interview with host Davina McCall.
Chatting to TJ in a far less hostile environment, she said: “It was hard, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and that’s what people thought of me. But at the end of the day, it will take more time for the public to know who the real Makosi is.”
And one of the things they could discover is that, thanks to her new manager, she has a taste for kosher food. “I’ll be taking her to Blooms one night”, said Shalit. “And she can come over for Friday night dinner whenever she likes as well.”
