Manchester is only 50 odd miles away from The Wirral so I will definitely be able to be there.
I too have already met some lovely people from the forum and made some really good friends but it will be lovely to meet more of you. I do hope lots of you can make it. I'm sure we'll have plenty to talk about. |

For anyone wanting accommodation in the Manchester area they should try the Tourist Information Centre - it can be found on http://www.manchester.gov.uk/visitorcentre. They are also contactable by:
Telephone: (0161) 234 3157 Fax: (0161) 236 9900 E-mail on: manchester.visitor.centre@notes.manchester.gov.uk They are open Monday to Saturday between 10.00am and 5.30pm and on Sundays and Bank Holidays between 10.30am and 4.30pm. I'm sure they will be able to help anyone find good and inexpensive accommodation. |

According to The Trainline.com the return fare to Manchester from Newcastle is £47.40 and you can arrive in the afternoon
According to National Express the return fare from Newcastle to Bury (Lancs) it is only £26.75, but you Leave Newcastle about 1:20PM arrive sometime after 9PM Looks like I will have to use the train if we can get this off the ground. We need more of you to commit to this so it can go ahead (and I can revisit Bury an old stomping ground of mine) If you want to see more of this Lancashire town, see the Bury MBC website |

I've lived in Bury for the last 2 years, and I can honestly say it's one of the most beautiful places in the country!

If anyone had any trouble with the Bury MBC link earlier, I have fixed it
Janette do you know if there are still some fields where someone could pitch a tent, that may cut the cost for certain people who are worried about price |
