Look, I know the negativity is irritating people but this is crunch time. We are witnessing the end of Big Brother. The quick-fix instant gratification audience and FM's aren't thinking long-term here.

These ratings are not enough to sustain another BB next year. People like President and especially Stentionhouse are assets to the BB community and are helping to raise awareness of the mismanagement of the show and their results because it effects everybody.

I think it's great that some people like the show as is, good for you, but you're in an ever decreasing minority. Ultimately we're all fans of BB but there's an unnecessary divide here between those who wish to remain ignorant of it's failiure and those that want to save it.

Of course there are differing opinions on how to save it ranging from flat out failiure so it can be picked up by a channel that'll do it justice, right to re-instatement of the red button coverage to widen access. Doing nothing and pretending it'll all be okay is not an option if you want to watch next year. While it might be relieving to swear at and ridicule those fighting for the survival of BB it's entirely rude and counterproductive.

Big Brother is a very strange idea and a totally addictive programme to certain people, when there is any real controversy almost everybody seems to have watched it, but like any tv format it needs to stay fresh, 1.9 million is still good as that is almost all hard core fans who will watch every episode, just not as high as other years
I don't blame C4 or the hm's but the people who run BB are very arrogant and think that no matter what they do it is 'right' and obviously they need to do something and quick, if they wish the better figures
Here's a radical idea, how about a person that doesn't swear every 5 mins and can hold an intelligent conversation, or am I wasting my time
Both Rex and Darnell got on my nerves but they were fairly knowledgable and worth listening to

Wheres your proof for this so called cut off point?
It was either Phil Edgar Jones that stated it somewhere or another producer. On there twitter or website.

That's how shows work, 1.9 mil may seem like a lot to people here but to buisnesses like C4 it is scraps. If a show sinks below a designated "Limbo line" the show is axed and another show is brought in to make up for those lost ratings - most often a film as that pulls in about 3-4mil to supplement the time as they figure out what will go in the free time slot.

It's a simple concept, and one that has been in operation for many years.
