Default A Blast From The Past - Stuart Hosking BB2

So Stuart it's been 8 years since you walked through the Big Brother Doors and into the Public Eye, does it feel that long to you?

LOL - No not really I am always flattered when people recognise me and can recall things that even I have forgotten, I think we in BB2 had a great experience which was at the pinnacle of reality TV and true social experiment and I am proud to have been part of it, and 8 years seems like yesterday every time I hear the BB intro music...

We all remember the argument with Amma, could you briefly explain what it was over and if you are still in contact with Amma?

To this day I am not really sure, but man did she react, I am very sorry for making her cry because that was something I never wanted to happen and I felt really awful, I think in truth Amma and I were getting on really well but then I sort of found out that she had nominated me, so I pushed to find out why and that’s when she eventually exploded.. But hey that was a long time ago and we had made up and forgotten the argument the next evening, it’s just that 8 years on people still talk about it .. lol - and when you make a mistake its best not to do it in front of 7 million viewers like me ...DOH

If you could change your time over in the house would you?

No I wouldn’t change anything - one thing I was true to myself throughout the whole show, I don’t think I was exactly shown in a positive light which was a little disappointing and surprising and as each of the house mates were evicted I would get a call saying OMG that is not what we saw of you in the house, yes they nominated me but for being competitive which unfortunately is the way I am and I know everyone in that house wanted to win, after all you got 70,000 if you did.

What do you think of Big Brother in previous years, does it still appeal to you as a viewer and a former housemate?

The balance of the show has changed since BB2 - people are trying to be the same as some of the original characters, they are making up romances and they are too media savvy, the last thing we ever expected was to end up in Heat magazine, now it’s expected. I think now the HM`s are either being overly nasty or nice or weird to try and sustain a media career in reality that does not happen and they get very disappointed and disappear from the public eye very quickly.

There has been talk of Big Brother ending in the near future, if this does happen do you think it's the right time?

Hey great for me as The Big Brother Musical will take its place and fill the gap, I think as long as it sustains 3.5 million viewers and makes Channel 4 money it will remain, but it will never be the original true social experiment that it was for BB1 and 2 and that had a real innocence and appeal.

We know you've kept in contact with Dean, is there anyone else you keep in touch with from your time in the house?

God I have met soooo many bb people and that I keep in contact with, I speak regularly to most of the ex BB2 People, Craig from BB1 and Darren have become good friends and really helped during all the madness, after that - I went to Sophie and Lees wedding BB3, I know Tickle, Gos and Lisa, who now looks amazing, from BB4 although she can still kill you with two fingers ,, lmao .. I just put the phone down from Gerry 8 and was out with Brian Belo and a few others including MO for the BB launch party at the Embassy last Thursday.

Your company with Dean, Teabagbin.com has had great success, have you any plans to branch out further as an entrepreneur?

Thank you the teabagbin is now in a range of Stainless steel and Stainless steel colours, Chris Moyles from Radio 1 really helped promote this and get people to take notice, and we have promised to buy him a Ferrari if we ever make enough ,, (true story) I would love to go on Celebrity Apprentice as some of those supposed entrepreneurs drive me wild, I do have few other ideas the Musical is taking my time and I am getting fed up with Piers Morgan slating BB and the people who take part, its lumping us all into one pot and I think I could more than hold my own during an interview with him.

We know you have strong feelings to do a Big Brother Musical, how difficult will this be to develop? And when could we expect to see it?

The plan is to develop and offer a true end to end big brother show and experience and that takes time, Endemol like the idea and I have had talks with Andrew Lloyd Webbers people who advised it will take 2 years to get it to the west end, this timing is perfect as it fits well with the 10th Anniversary and getting PR and then next year the actual 10 year show.

Finally Stuart, there has been talk of a Big Brother "All Stars" would you be interested in participating?

For enough money and to promote the Musical I would, I know how to play the game but I would be worried about embarrassing my 3 children who are a lot older and have to face their friends !! because of the PR my agent is getting calls about me doing other reality show.. so you may see me dancing one of these days .. lol

Thank you for the questions and I am always available on Thisisbigbrother, I love the site and the forum so don't be shy to U2U me... Stuart x

(For those that don't know Stuart is on this forum, his username is StuartBB2)

I would like to thank Stuart for taking the time to do this interview!
