It's not OCD as once you have done it you feel better,people who have OCD never feel better after doing it it's always on their mind i though i had it and it's flung round as if it's fun but it's not,it's serious illness.
Yes. I have OCD. It's so mentally draining. I worry when my boyfriend has to go out, even if it's just down to the shops. I'm always thinking that he'll get stabbed or run over. It's hard to control my thoughts. If he is late to return home, I think the same thing, and I end up having a panic attack. It's not pretty.
The term 'OCD' is thrown about way too much and takes away from its true meaning because almost everyone claims to have it. but I'm pretty certain what you described ISN'T OCD. OCD is repetition of an action you cant help but do again and again, thats just a thought process/extreme worrying.

The only few I can think of are;
I count stairs as I walk up them, but I find that quite normal.
I talk to myself; like full conversations outloud... LOL, I just found out that it was normal.
When I begin reading a novel, I have to read in even numbers of chapters. If I read one chapter I have to read the second. If I read the whole book and it ends on say, 15 chapters, I read the first one again to make it even.
I do that as well! People think I'm weird for it though, but I just tell them if I ever go blind at least I won't have a problem walking up the stairs
