A new housemate will be introduced next week in an effort to boost ratings, reports have suggested.

Producers have ten more contestants lined up to go into the house "at a moment’s notice", according to The Sun.

It is apparently hoped that the addition will spice things up after a lukewarm start to the show, which launched with five million viewers and has since attracted only two million.

So far three housemates have left the house, with Beinazir and Sophia evicted and Saffia walking away from the show.

The show has been the best since BB7 and having more then 5 housemates coming into the house would ruin the show for good.

You could end up with no oringal housemates at the end

i think cause Saffia needs to be replaced but other 9 during 11 weeks would be crazy

no i think they'll send in 1/2 or what ever, the article on DS says they have 10 for backup - not that they'd actually send all 10 in.
