Are you American? If you are then its unfair to say ours is badly put together. The British don't like intense games and this for us was originally a social experiment. People watched the first series as a reality show, not a game show, so its just very ordinary, no clever editing or dramatic music, just a day in chronological order of the best bits of the day. It took off as that format and that has essentially remained throughout the shows history.
If you want to watch a UK Big Brother how its properly done, then I strongly recommend watching BB5 (2004) or 6 (2005) ... especially if you like game play, those are the closest ours get to it though it isn't a central feature. Otherwise BB3 (2002) and 9 (2008) would also be good picks. Or for a shorter series Celebrity Big Brother 4 (2006) was amazing and only about 3 weeks long.

I am.. That's a fair answer I had been expecting more game play... When I say game play I mean jumping into a large vat of pudding and then looking for food coupons.. So, I can see how someone from the UK would view our big brother as nothing but a giant game show. I still don't miss an episode and really do enjoy watching the show.
