Pop icon Britney Spears joins this summer's choicest party when she receives the Ultimate Choice Award at TEEN CHOICE 2009 airing Monday, Aug. 10 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Additionally, Sean Kingston will perform his hit single "Fire Burning" on the two-hour star-studded special.

Spears, who holds the record as the female artist with the most TEEN CHOICE Surfboard Awards, returns stateside from the European leg of her "The Circus Starring Britney Spears" tour to receive the coveted award in recognition of her extraordinary contributions to the entertainment industry.

Britney Spears is one of the top-selling artists of the last decade, and to date she has sold over 63 million albums worldwide. Her albums include "Baby One More Time," "Oops!...I Did It Again," "Britney," "In The Zone" and "Blackout." Her current album, "Circus," which was released in December 2008, debuted at No. 1 in six countries and in the Top 10 in an additional seven. Currently touring Europe, Spears will bring her current tour back to North America beginning August 20 to perform in 20 cities across the country. "The Circus Starring Britney Spears" kicked off in March 2009 in New Orleans, and is the highest-grossing tour of 2009 in North America to date.

Sorry for the triple post but Britney is NOT performing at the TCA's. BS.com falsely advertised she was, but she will be there.

Rumour is she's going to present a pre-taped performance from the tour as part of a preview for the DVD and collect her award.

Well a rep denied to Access Hollywood she was, so they might want to keep it a surprise but idk. Guess we'll see Monday.

But ain't it already filmed, cayse on the TTCA advert they have footage of britney with brown hair, which was Europe, I wish it was filmed in London.

Yeah, but they filmed all shows with screens, and that was Copenhagen.. but what we seen on TCA was St. Petersburg which didn't have a screen, but I can't imagine them releasing 'Britney live in Russia' and the show didn't sell that well, there was still about 250 tickets left.

I think it'll be filmed in Australia now that the entire leg is sold out.
