Default Am I the only person here that likes Sandy?

Sandy

I know Sandy is very unpopular, particularly in this forum, but despite his manipulative ways I actually really really like Sandy. In my opinion he is very unique and bizarre to watch. He also just doesn't give a sh*t.

I know it was seen as an awful thing to do, but I really really respect the fact that on his final night he told Jonny what he thought of him. It was very honest of him. I would much rather someone tell me that then, just be told he said it behind my back.

When Alison was evicted he said that everyone knows the truth now. Everyone castigated him for it. But later he explained to Spencer what he meant. He said that he thinks the public don't accept fools lightly. I know what he meant, and whilst I don't dislike Alison I agreed with him. He disliked Alison and Jonny and I could see why, I would dislike them IF I WAS LOCKED UP WITH THEM 24 hours a day.

In the end he got bored and left, if he had stuck it out he would not have won it, but he may have got to the final couple of weeks. I say this as he was by far the most manipulative and was running rings around everyone. He may have got nominated, but he managed to divide the group and that was his initial aim, and remember the group remained divided until the end.

Sandy was not a particularly 'nice' person but then I would rather know a interesting person then a 'nice' person. Of course if someone is nice and interesting, then that's a bonus. I fully expect everyone on this forum to disagree with me, but that's the great thing about life there is always someone with a different opinion.

"Being honest" in the Big Brother house, and thus by implication in life, seems to be acclaimed by some as the ultimate virtue. Sandy and Jade have been lauded by many as the most "honest" contestants.
I don't see anything to praise here. Sandy's "honesty" was actually a form of cruelty and manipulation. Jade's "honesty" was merely the result of hopeless inconsistency of thought and complete lack of self-control when it came to expressing these thoughts.
I would not like to associate closely with anyone who practiced "honesty" a la Sandy or Jade.

Sandy? Honest?

Sandy had a game plan but got bored. He wanted to turn people against each other without them seeing that it was him at the centre of it. Alex, Adele, and to an extent, Spencer and Jade fell for it hook line and sinker.

Interesting? His army stories were like Uncle Albert in Only Fools and Horses, and he never wanted to listen to anyone else's.

The best thing he did was to (what he did into the waste bin) off!

When I saw Sandy enter the Big Brother house I thought he was going to be a really "fun" guy.

Sandy, for me, turned out to be the biggest disappointment of BB3.

I totally agree Sandy tried to manipulate all the housemates against each other. It was just jonny and alison he also bitched about jade alot sayin she was the one startin all the fights etc. He admitted in the diary room how he found it fun when everyone was fightin so wanted to make sure everyone kept doing it however noone ecept alex took much notice of him so he left. And i'm sorry but in the words of alex him peein in the bin was "DISGUSTIING!"

Well bonzobravo - I've been out into the centre of town with my clipboard today - I like to do my research - and asked the citizens of my fair city that very question.

I know you'll be staggered to learn that except for a rather befuddled old lady with a Yorkshire Terrier who seemed to think I was conducting a survey on holiday resorts (!), you are, indeed, a pretty lone voice. Shame.

I sort of liked Sandy as he added an odd sort of perspective to the whole thing. I wish he had been there during the riot!

I also LOVED waking up to the sound of the pool in use .......... so Summery

I’ll join you in the telephone box for the meeting of the Sandy fan club.

Maybe it’s because I agreed with what he had to say about Jonny and Alison. He didn’t like many people in the house, but then again I didn’t think that there were many in the house that came across as likeable.

If he was manipulating people it couldn’t have been because he was playing to stay in the house. He was making himself an easy target for nomination.

Also, Sandy was at a disadvantage from the start because he was older than the others. He has less in common and to talk about with the others. Dean said the same thing about last year’s housemates. Respect to him for going in the house.

Just my two-pence worth.
