I prefer just having a forum, there are other places where you can chat and do quizzes.

The problem with chatrooms is that there usually isn't many people in them at any one time, if anyone.

Also they are more difficult to moderate.

just thought id "re-light" this topic - James maybe if you appointed a few more moderators then that would make moderating the chat room alot easier, im sure the members who have been here along time wouldnt mind eg. BigSister

I'm not usually a fan of chatrooms, but chatting to you guys would be cool.
Still, if we don't get a chatroom it's no biggy, we can just chat on the chat forums, right?

I can see the advantages and disadvantages of a chat room!

We have some very young members and like James has said it is difficult to moderate a chat room! 99% of this forums members would respect the chat room but that 1% who would not, would make it a nightmare for everyone!

On the other hand it would be great to have a natter with you wonderful people!

yeah i totally respect the fact that that 1% would be very difficult to control, but we could just have it on trial

then if it goes well keep it, if it doesnt scrap it.
Yer same Fangz, I like chatting alot on the forums too but a chatroom would be really cool, im registering my vote for a chatroom though

How about a Shoutbox, to put at the bottom of the page? I can give you (James) an example of a forum which has one. It's good for just randomly talking to people who are online.

I'm always one to disagree haha.

I prefer just having a forum! I think if theres a chatroom then the forum won't get used as much, just my opinion though!

One of you could set up a IRC channel to chat in and moderate it yourself.

It would have no load on the thisisbigbrother server then.
