I'm in the middle on this. I think last night could have been avoided if threads were locked and an explanation given in the last post (like it normally is). I can see why it irked people, plus how the website goes offline just to delete threads is majorly annoying too.

If I had any feedback for the Admin then it would be the above and give public reasons why a person is banned (perhaps a 'banned list' thread?) that way everything's clear and people won't spam. It's when the admin go all private over decisions which starts trouble.

I disagree with the opening post though. Indeed, generally the Mod and Admin team do a good job but occasionally mistakes are made and I think feedback from posters could do wonders. If I was a Mod or Admin I'd personally want to know how I ws doing and if there was anything I could do better.

Generally though, good job.

For some strange reason, i was thinking about this when i was cleaning my teeth this morning lol.

I think it would be good.

Just so mods and admi could just name whos has got banned, how long for, and if they feel neccessary put why aswell.

Tom and MrGarry given a warning. I've been away for like 2 hours, come back and there's 3 new threads on last night's drama. Let it be, leave it alone, and come back when you can stop trying to cause bad atmosphere around here. Notice how Shaun, Billy, Waldorf and Jen have just accepted it and let it ride? You'd do good to follow in their shoes.

There was one a while ago actually, I seem to remember Sticks requesting one. Think it wasn't stickied and got lost somewhere.

Should we have a new one / bump the old one.

I think recently we need it.

Even with the trolls we ban because if they are on here for 5 days.. they still get along with people who will miss their posts i think.

It's not strictly to do with last night's drama. Tom was offended that he had been banned for something as petty as spamming yet when Aint_Mad_Atcha called him a "mother*******er" his post was deleted without further punishment.

I love how people think that I'm biased when I've told off members from both ZH and Brotherhood and I'm a member of neither. To be honest, every single one of us works hard to keep this forum under control, but when there are constant bitching threads every night it does get a bit overwhelming. We're not saying that we don't like our job, but when we leave a thread as is we get insulted; when we edit a thread we get insulted.

People may think that certain members are biased because they're friends with certain people on the forum, but believe me I know I've banned some of my friends (who shouldn't take the job personally) and I know 30stone has edited some of his friend's post (I don't keep tabs on the other mod's activity so that's the only thing i've seen).

I'm not sure about all of us, but I treat everyone equally. If there has been an imbalance lately it may have not been me because I've had a busier summer than expected. The job is extremely stressful when you come on here and you see 40 new reported posts a day, but we try our best. I can't imagine having people who are strongly in each group be elected because then it would be chaos.

In the end, we all try our best. It's a harder job than anyone can imagine. When I started I didn't realize it would be as hard as it is, but I've learned to be impartial when it comes to moderating. Sorry if any of you disagree...especially members of the Brotherhood who somehow think I prefer members of the ZH - maybe the reason why I don't edit their posts is because 30stone beats me to it? The time difference usually allows me to moderate towards the later night. And if you think I edit only posts reported of yours it may be pure luck that I've seen the thread before another mod.

And I'm sorry, Tom, if you think I do a crap job as well. We all work as hard as we can to moderate well and we can't please everyone.

Yeah keep the who's banned thread active, but locked of course..

From now any members that are given a ban need to be put in the who's banned thread by a mod, pin the thread under general chat.

Tbf, a lot of them have accepted why they were banned. Most the ones arguing now weren't directly involved in last night (i.e. weren't banned).

I didn't?
Well no I did, but I didn't know why I was being banned for it? A genuine question which tbf did kinda come across like it was spam, but the only reason i posted it was cos I knew I wouldn't get an answer, so tbf I don't think you can justifiably make a statement like you did.

But then again, it's over.
