Hypothetically speaking, what do you think of a Metal Gear Solid movie that has Christian Bale and Daniel Craig in it as Solid and Liquid Snake, respectively? Would you go see it? You may have to decide soon, because if this poster is the real deal then that's just what we'll see in 2011.

The poster in question, which you can see below, is supposedly for the Metal Gear Solid movie that we know is being made. The poster was allegedly seen in the Sony Pictures office in Culver City, CA, and it also shows that the movie is due for July 2011.

Let's put aside the question of whether or not this is a 'shopped image for the time being. What do you guys think of the casting choices? I hear Christian Bale has expressed some interest in being a part of the movie before.

I haven't heard anything about it since the E3 announcement a few years back. If it's true then it's not a bad choice but David Hayter should be the obvious choice, he is the voice of Snake and has a similar look.

I think he's the best choice though. Give him longer hair, a few months in a gym to bulk up and you have snake. It'll be weird to have Snake without the voice.

A great voice actor doesn't equal a great actor. It's like Mark Hammil playing The Joker. It couldn't work based on physiciality alone. You're going to be looking at Snake more than you here him and the most important sense is seeing, it just wouldn't work. Christian Bale would be a fantastic choice for Solid Snake.
