Default Which housemate deserved to get booed the most?

Most people seem to think booing the contestants is wrong. I don't believe this. When entering the house they know they are there to be judged. In my opinion the booing is done in almost a panto, kind of way. It is light hearted and most of the public are not going to take it too seriously.

Mel - Totally undeserved. I liked Mel, all she did was flirt with a couple of people.

Nasty Nick - I can understand him being booed for lying about the story he told the group, about him getting married in France and his wife dying in a car crash. But my impression is that he was booed for cheating, in a gameshow. Big deal, glad to see US clever Brits have our priorities right!

Elizabeth - I liked Betty, but I can understand why she was booed. Her crusade against Paul was harsh, but I can understand why he would have annoyed her!

Stuart - Really dislike the man, totally deserved what he got!

Amma - She was only slightly booed, because she was in my opinion unfairly portrayed.

Adele - Got what she deserved!

Lynne - Slightly harsh, but don't have any sympathy for her, how dare she pick on Spanky!

Tim - I suppose he deserved it, I don't think it bothered him and he took it really well. Fair play Tim!

I'll vote for Stuart I think!

I would have liked to see Alex and Jonny booed though!

I disagree that booing is seen as light-hearted. You could see how unnerving the BB3 housemates found it when they heard booing outside on eviction nights.

Of the people you listed, I would say only Nick deserved to be booed as he blatantly cheated. The others were just being themselves.

We're all entitled to an opinion, and on this subject - as is shown on many threads - the members of this forum are split 50/50 on the subject of booing contestants.

I don't like the booing, someone else may enjoy it. We're all allowed to state our case, simple as that!

I wasn't having a go at you Janette, sorry if you thought I was!

I was just going to politely re state what I thought, but then just couldn't be bothered.

Sorry, but you will have to get used to my humour, it is very much tongue firmly in cheek.

I suppose I frowned quite strongly when Mel was evicted, but I didn't boo her

I think the booing is wrong. Its that kind of mob mantality that really spoiled the eviction nights, especially in BB3. Even though you might not like the housemates there still people, human beings with feeling. And over a 300 people booing them is going to really hurt.

And there momories of there eviction will be look back with angst of the feeling how the crowd hated them.

In the Aussie BB no one got booed. Even though some of the contestants were horrible. The Audience over there relise that its better to be on there side rather then against them cos it ruins the feel good feeling of the night.

And you should know a Sweden contestant in Survivor commit suicide cos the public was so nasty.
I hope its not going to take a housemate to go to that extreme lengh to make the Audience see that what there doing is wrong!!!!

That's a horrible thing to hear Tonto!

Thank goodness nothing like that has happened here, although I was seriusly concerned about Jade's mental wellbeing after reading some of the gutter press headlines about her. Thank God she's a strong person and can handle it!

Of course thet is terrible, but she must have had psychological problems before big brother, in my opinion. I respect your view, but my personal point of view is far different to yours. I think we will agree to disagree.

Welcome Tonto1278!!!!!

I hope you enjoy posting here!!

It is definately the most friendly place to post!

You're right Bonzo, in this country the contestants had hours with the psychologist before they were even selected to go into the house, and then he was on call 24/7 while they were in. We don't know if the foreign BB's have the same strict guidelines as us.

It's still very sad though, if the outside reaction to a person was so bad that they were compelled to kill themselves!

Thanks for the greeting Bonzo and nice avatar you got there!
But whether with contestants have shrinks or not if they feel so miserably depressed you never know how low there self esteem could fall to thats why the prdoucers should do something about it if there going to have another series!

Cos if BB2 housemate Penny would of been booed I can imagine her taking that path. You never know!
