Default Halfwit admits producer influence..

Anyone see on bb live last night..halfwit said " I have never watched the programme and I auditioned out of a complete one off chance encounter I came across and was told to auditon"-this backs up the theory halfwit was hand picked!!!!!

Oh good heavens, I am getting so sick of the comments and threads that say that Halfwit was automatically put in the show. Read what you posted.. Halfwit was TOLD TO AUDITION. That means that he had to go through the same auditions as everyone else. The ONLY difference is that rather than sending an application into the show, they asked him to audition.

Let me break it down for you:

Freddie:
1. Freddie is asked to audition for the show.
2. Freddie attends multiple interviews, screen tests, group meetings, etc.
3. Freddie is picked out of all of those who made it through the audition process.

Other person:
1. Other person sends in application to show.
2. Other person attends multiple interviews, screen tests, group meetings, etc.
3. Other person is picked out of all of those who made it through the audition process.

Is this clear? Freddie did not meet this person at the wedding and automaticaly made the show. AND Freddie was NOT the only person who was asked to audition. This is standard procedure for EVERY reality show. When producers or others associated with the show meet someone they think would be good tv, they ask them to audition. This isn't news. In this case, Freddie was the only one (that we know of) that was selected for the show.

Exactly! Think about it though, Freddie comes from a very well off family who will obviously now people from big companies and businesses and perhaps ENDEMOL so maybe someone who worked for the company said to Freddie "You should audition" or something. Just because he was "told" to audition doesn't mean he was automatically put into the house. He never admitted producer influence.

Yep. Think of it this way. If your neighbor told you that the local shop was hiring and that you should put in an application, it doesn't mean you automatically got the job.

And let's face it... any reality tv person who met Freddie would kill to have him on the show. He is tv gold! lol

I say, that's a cr@p idea since you'll only get wanna-bees instead of interesting and diverse characters that could clash spectacularly ...what!

I don't understand why this is such a big deal, he's hardly getting special treatment being on the show. I honestly doubt it was only his connections that got him through because (and coming from not a Freddie fan) he is different (his upbringing, education, outlook etc.) and he does provide entertainment (evictions, protest, game plan talk etc.) so they probably saw this and thought it would be good. It's not any different to on the auditions when previous HM's go outside and walk up to people to ask them to audition eventhough they were not planning on auditioning.
