I think Tom's a nice guy but I can't help feeling sorry for Marcus.
He puts on this big front but then you see him off guard and he's so vulnerable, all this Tom hate is seated in him feeling inferior.

marcus is a scum bag and tom is class, not to mention how much younger than marcus he is.

he puts that fool to shame, i hate marcus, i wish he would just leave!
