To be honest I havent seen many lisa threads full stop.

And no doubt these were mostly made by the same person anyway.

Being a lesbian is no reason for anyone to dislike her, though I know there are a couple of homophobic people about.

Her personality, however, is a valid reason for the hate she gets.

I dont like using the word hate about housemates...since we dont actually know them and all, and i assure you i do not hate lisa. I just think she is a nasty person and would like to see her out.

That's because Marcus has gotten off lightly, like he always does. He has used threatening behaviour and language on at least 5 occasions.
I've already stated the main reason why I think she is hated, and I have good reason to believe so. I have yet to hear another reason that makes sense.
'Because she is nasty' doesn't cut it. Others are 'nasty' but without Lisa's kindness, so it still doesn't explain why she is SO hated, and has so few fans.

It is ridiculous how everything these days is associated with either racism, sexism, sexuality etc.
People can dislike a foul mouthed, obnoxious, agressive lesbian for reasons other than her being a lesbian you know.

Angel was bi anyway and she wasnt hated.
Charlie is gay, rod is bi, freddie is bi, if it was indeed homophobia then all of these would also be hated also.

Of course they can - if the person is foul mouthed and obnoxious. My point is, Lisa is less foul mouthed than Siavash, Norion, Marcus and others....and she is not as obnoxious as Marcus or Noirin. Maybe you can give me examples of the awful foul mouthed obnoxious behaviour she has displayed that doesn't involve a few early incidents with Freddie? I must have missed them. They must have been horrendous to make her so hated.

By the way - butch lesbians get the worst rap of any type of homosexual. It's a proven fact. I'm straight myself but I am involved with equality issues and rights for homosexuals in our uni.

Well my opinions on her are all based around how she was in the early days so Im afraid I cant help you there.

She has been very quiet recently, but i dont forget.

And I know a few 'butch lesbians' myself and they dont get grief, however the gay men I know get at least one person starting with them everytime they go out.

She is a good listener, and doesn't feel the need to talk about herself 24/7. Even Marcus came to her when he needed to talk, like most of them have. I wonder why they do that, if she is so horrible? She is no more a back stabber than some of the others. She has been reassuring and kind to Sophie, Charlie, Noirin (going back a bit!) Rodrigo, to name those I can remember off the top of my head. Remember when she had her 'flock' - Marcus and Noirin had theirs. I wouldn't say the Marcus crowd were angels, would you? Actually, I think Karly was the real leader of the 'flock'.

Lisa felt sorry for Sree and took him under her wing, even though she knew he was unpopular. She is rather motherly.

Some HM's have acknowledged that she is a softie underneath, but that is never mentioned.
