Egging the beggers who think its right to knock on an old ladies house dressed like chuckie and then have the cheak to ask for money. Scaring the old bugger and leaving her out of pocket.

The day should be scraped in my opinion.

about 4 years ago, when i went trick or treating with my mate, some kids were egging an old guy in a wheelchair, while he was trying to defend his property, not nice

My family dont like the "commercialisation" or "Americanisation" of Halloween, I have to agree also

Both should be banned.

Fireworks are a complete waste of money, literally watching money go up in smoke!

Agreed CC100, kids are always a pest round our way on halloween.

The fireworks always frighten my dog, it would not be too bad if it was only one night but people set them off 2 weeks before the night.

My kids are 8 and 4, so I will be taking them round a few doors on Monday night. We mostly go to 2 streets, where there are people who's kids are out also, so they usually open the door to the kids, but we don't go out too late, obviously, coz of the age of my youngest. Meanwhile, my hubby gets the dubious task of opening our door to the various guisers and dishing out sweets, apples & monkey-nuts! It's not like it used to be though. I remember me and my pals going out and about (dressed up as Madonna!) without parents. Nowadays, you are scared to let your kids knock on doors without you standing at the gate watching over them.

Then, on Tuesday night, I have the honour of running a School Halloween Disco... The Joys, The Joys!!!!

So, that's it for Halloween. For bonfire night, I think fireworks are:

1. A waste of money
2. Dangerous
3. Getting bigger and more dangerous every year
4. Sold to people who have no common sense

So, therefore, I wont be setting fire to my garden shed on Saturday night. I will probably take the kids to the display in town. You have to pay to get in, but since you can see it better from the big car-park beside it, then I wont be paying for it and I will be far enough away that I wont risk getting set on fire!!!!! he he he

I didn't even like it when i was young, didn't see the point?!

I've always liked firework shows though but would never invest £100 of my hard earned cash on something that lasts a few minutes.
