I know where your coming from. These things dont have quite the same meaning outside Northern Ireland. We are stuck in a world where saying the letter H the wrong way can get you beaten up.

"The only reason Noirin got on like that was because she was brought up as A Catholic"

And David said "Well im a catholic and I dont get on like that"

So my quistion is what really happened?
My aunt wants me to complain but I said I should ask people on here what went on first...

So people who watched the LF::
What happened really?

And should Halfwit be called to the DR with a warning, If it did happen. Because Marcus was pulled in for Sree, why shouldnt Halfwit!
they were talking about noirin's behaviour when she'd had a drink and how it was so different to when she was sober.

david said he'd never met anyone that needed a drink so muh to have fun.

halfwit said that she had a very strict catholic upbringing and was basically told any sexuality was a bad thing. he thought that she wanted very much to be free about her sexuality but because she'd been told it was something to be ashamed about her whole life, it was very hard for her and by having a drink it loosened her inhabitions

david said he was a catholic and he didn't act like that (meaning needed a drink to be a different person). but halfwit was saying that it wan't just about being a catholic, it was about the strict catholic upbringing she had.

it wasn't a nasty conversation

Why don't you watch or tape live-feed then you will know. Or better still go to the DS site and look at the overnight forum.

That's exactly how it happened and we both watched the LF last night and were posting in the LF thread.

That's how I understood it too. They were talking about Noirin always wanting alcohol and Halfwit suggested when she drank she was able to act in a more relaxed way and blame her actions on drink. He wasn't saying that being a Catholic was bad, just that she'd probably had a stricter upbringing because she was Catholic

In Belfast and most of the rest of Northern Ireland. People from a Catholic backround pronounce the letter H differently from people from a Protestant backround. If you say H people know if you are a catholic or protestant from the way you say it. Some people will beatup someone if they are the wrong religion to the other people around them.

Are you serious? You are thinking of complaining about something YOU DID NOT EVEN WATCH?!?!?!?! Pathetic.

So what if he said something bad about religion (which all he said was she had a strict upbringing and wants drink to bring her party side out) what would that matter? It is a religion, not a race or country. I was brought up as a catholic but I do not give a toss about it nor believe any of the bollocks of the B*ble either. Most wars and conflicts start from religion which is pretty ironic so I do not believe in any of it, they are just books. Imagine in 1000 years the new bible will be harry potter and people will have wars over that too lol

Pointless thread imo

Freddie of course is living in the land of myth. He needs a proper education.

He was also talking about catholic education. I went to a convent in the 1950's and believe me you could not teach those girls anything and that was before the alchohol flowed.
One girl was 13 when she went to Italy on a school trip (Vatican here we come) and she came back engaged to an Italian.
